All Is Wonderful This song is a satire on political correctness, inspired partly by John Cleese's comment that nowadays it is not possible to tell a joke without someone getting offended. There's also a reference to George Orwell's 1984, although if I had chosen the "correct" newspeak format, the message of the song would have been "All Is Unbad" I'm sure the message of the song offends someone, sorry for that Vocals once again by RnAM, I was not sure how Rob's voice would fit funkier song, but I was pleasantly surprised. I say I am fine, on the cloud nine. Talking superficial things not deep or shattering just flattering chattering. Say all, all is wonderful all, all is wonderful smile, be positive turn a blind eye and forgive never tell that it is not ok. They say I should never criticize They say my heritage I should disguise culturewise. Hiding religous signs opinions, ironic lines the outer shine the heart of mine. Say all... One day you're eating freedom fries the past is bright when the media rectifies people don't die, they just pass away deceased or challenged, black or gay humor offending, cruel to tell for an infidel. They say I should praise without a cause they show me signs when I should give applause or stomp aloud. A puppet filled with superlatives taboos, swear words exclusive political correctness. Say all... --- Janne

Hi Janne,
It's some really nice jazz-funk you've created this time around! There are so many people on this forum who write songs in languages other their own. I have no idea how anyone does that. That you are from Finland and write so competently in English is very impressive.
I have to say that Rob and Anne-Marie's work is amazing, too. The production is crisp and clean and sounds radio ready. They've really done an outstanding presentation of you work.
All the best, Noel

Once again Janne managed to produce a song with very high standards, both lyrically and musically. We are very happy to be a part of this project. This type of vocals is not something that we usually do, but definitely a learning experience. Exploring and developing one's musical possibilities has a reward of its own. Janne's songs are a very good example of what can be accomplished with Band in a Box on a professional level.

All the best, Noel Thanks Noel for your kind words! Writing in English is not straightforward, it requires lots of google search and google translation Janne

Hello Jannesan here's another great song! Very enjoyable.
Great interpratation by RnAM. the melody variation isn't easy to follow.

Nicely done!! Very good song and production on all levels! Ironically, I was in a particularly un-PC mood last night and started singing an idea I had for a song "It's my G-- D---- opinion". Just came to me that way. Don Henley wrote the original PC buster (Get over it) before I even knew what PC was. Now, I know all too well. Nice job!! Take care. Greg

Janne, Rob and Anne-Marie,
I really enjoyed this! The music is very energetic and well composed and instrumentally arranged! I also thought the lyrics were really clever... ESPECIALLY since English is not your first language! (I'm not so sure that most of us who do speak English natively would have come up with such a creative choice of words to express your thoughts here!)
Again, you couldn't have picked a more competent team to sing your song! Everything that Rob and Anne-Marie touch turns golden! Singing along in my head, I noted that the melody was not an easy one to sing... it has its twists and turns, yet Rob hit them flawlessly! And Anne-Marie's voice sounds perfect for the backing vocal parts! What a dynamic team!
I tend to agree with your observations about political correctness. The inability to criticize anything inhibits rational thinking. If all things are equally good, then there is no incentive to pursue true excellence... so the end result of political correctness is mediocrity at best.

Nice song, mix and production. Rob's vocals fit this genre quite well in my opinion. This funk style is popular in the 'new' Carolina Beach Music circuit along the east coast here in the US. I hear similar songs (although with meaningless lyrics ) on 94.9 "The Surf" radio a lot. Enjoyed this.

"Everything that Rob and Anne-Marie touch turns golden", I couldn't agree more, I hope they use that sentence to advertise their service I'm glad that people are not too politically correct on this forum and give also constructive criticism once in awhile.
