On 08/05/2013 Noel wrote: "I bet you could make Mozart sing!" Although I'm not that Mozart fan I thought I could give it a try. I chose the Aria of the Queen of the Night from The Magic Flute. For the vocals I used Vocaloid Avanna and added four harmonies. First I tried the German lyrics. But that didn't sound good, so I used that Scat version. The RTs are RealDrums-JazzTerryClarke^03-Ride,RideLd RT443_ Bass, Acoustic, Jazz Sw 140 RT449_ Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm Jazz Sw 140 RT1048_Organ, B3, Rhythm Jazz Sw 140 As I couldn't find a soloist (I tried several trumpets, saxes and trombones) that fitted my imagination, I did the solo and fills myself. https://soundcloud.com/boehmusic/zauberfl-teFor the ones who like to compare with the original here is a link: : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9C-K4VisOA(Floyd, for not being scared you should listen to my version first). I hope Mozart won't rotate in his grave. Guenter

Guenther,
I think he is at minimum restless.
Really enjoyed this. Noting your keyboard in the Avatar. Are you triggering Anna with it?
With the outrageous amount of samples purchased these last few weeks, have maybe 100 pieces of words(choir types). There is not enough time in the day to set them up.
Really admire the amount of work and results your have attained.
Thanks for sharing you time consuming hard work and music.

Love the music.
Your creativity is always entertaining.
On the vocaloid - you got those chicks grooving.

Guenter,
LOL! I ain't sceeerd! (oh... that's "hick" for "I'm not scared") (unless I hear banjo music in the woods...)
SUPER COOL! The Avanna-ettes have it goin' on!!
The mix is so tight, it is impossible to tell what is RealTracks and what is Guenter.
The first half felt like it should be background for a major automobile commercial. The second half felt like a Christmas sung that should play as you shop a major department store...
OK... just watched (listened to) the video. I THOUROUGHLY enjoyed it! It is one of the finest examples of the human voice I have ever heard.
OK...
Ohmygod!!!!! Spent time flipping back and forth doing small segments of both. Guenter, you are COMPLETELY AMAZING. I got chills!
WOW! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! WOW! WOW!
For a guy who doesn't like Mozart... you shure done good (<< more hick talk)

Hey Guenter!
Wow!!! That took me by surprise.
What you have done is fantastic! The production is seamless. As Floyd has said, it's impossible to tell what parts were yours and what were generated by BIAB/RB.
These days, when I listen to your music, I simply lean back in my chair, close my eyes and enjoy. Your musical inventiveness always leaves me thinking "I wish I knew how to do that". It's incredible where creativity takes you.
More please!!!! Noel
P.S. Thank you for the Youtube link, the soprano is brilliant. What a range!!!!!

Hi Dani, Frank, Josie, Alyn, Floyd and Noel,
thanks for your kind words. They mean a lot to me.
@Dani: Didn't you make yourself a little bit too young?
@Frank: Avanna is not really triggered. It imports MIDI files.
@Floyd: You shouldn't always debase yourself. You're not a hick. (A word which I only learned yesterday).

Guenter,
in my opinion you are unquestionably the most innovative contributor to this forum! Somehow you manage to intermingle the past present and future into a completely new sound! And here you have done it again!
If you had to name your new genre, what would you call it?
Your songs remind me of a room that is painted in neutral colors so wild accents can be used without clashing. The structure of your base classical tune serves to hold the composition together, giving it the stability needed to take risks with eclectic "other musical paradigms" such as Avanna or the many instruments usually associated with genres outside the realm of classical music.
And you do it SO WELL!! I can easily imagine a project of this scope failing miserably due to all the things that must go right at the same time... but so far, NONE of your compositions has been less than excellent!
Thanks for sharing your creativity with the rest of us

Hi Pat,
thanks for your comments. As Floys said, they are like lyrics sometimes. A name for the genre? I leave it up to you. You are much more inventive in things like that.
