Here's a new one....I play Acoustic Guitar and Bass and the rest is Real Band 2013...

Here's the link: https://soundcloud.com/horst_hartung/sexy-lover

Fourteen days and fourteen nights go by
Well your mamma didn’t teach ya right, you was a lonely child
Now you say you’ve had enough but you can’t give it up, no how

Uncle Charlie’s in the van just calling you, (Hey kid…Get over here)
Well you sister and your brother and your mother and your father too
It’s a sad eyed reunion, well you know you’ve had enough when you can’t even walk

I don’t think you’re afraid to lose your way, yea,
Cause your walking down the road, when you should be right at home, like your lover said

Well it ain’t hard to be, a natural lover
Although you think I’m wrong, that’s what you are
Yea, and when you need some loving, and you gotta find a sexy lover
You won’t have to walk so far

Now it’s a Tuesday afternoon, there’s some plants starting to bloom
As we walk inside your room girl to get it on,
And she let’s go of all her clothes, hops right into bed,
Squeezes my thing tight and we begin

Well it ain’t hard to be, a natural lover
Although you think I’m wrong, that’s what you are
Yea, and when you need some loving, and you gotta find a sexy lover
You won’t have to walk so far

Well it ain’t hard to be, a natural lover
Although you think I’m wrong, that’s what you are
Yea, and when you need some loving, and you gotta find a sexy lover
You won’t have to walk so far

Sexy Lover, That’s what you are
I said, Sexy Lover honey, That’s what you are
Ahh give me some of that sexy loving honey, that’s what you are
Ahh honey you know I need that sexy loving honey, that’s what you are
Sexy Lover, That’s what you are
Sexy Lover, That’s what you are

Another nice production. I listened with headphones and your beginning vocals in the first verse were sung a bit soft and back in the mix for me to hear clear with the phones. I didn't try listening through speakers which may have worked better. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

Hi Horst,

A very nice song and cool lyrics! Good vocals too.
We agree with Charlie that your voice might be a bit louder in the beginning.
All in all a very nice production.

Another home run for the Horst!

I'm hearing influences from Paul Simon and Jim Croce... You put me right in the audience at a table near the band!
What's not to like about this song? you really have a knack for taking a chord pattern and adding your own recipe for funk. I liked the backup vocals.. in this song they add a lot to the pro sound

The fact that you played bass and acoustic enabled you to naturally add the recurring lines that provide much of the swing, without having to spend a lot of time splicing WAVs to get what you need.

All I can say is "you really know how to write CATCHY SONGS!"

Fun track!! I really love the organic feel you get with your productions. Really natural and pleasant, somewhat retro feel. This was a bit more playful than your other posts but just as much of a treat! Take care. Greg

Cool retro rocker... just kick the vox up a few db in the mix...

Watch the harmonica.... 1:25.... it doesn't always like to play in key. I really like the drum sound in a few places.... to bad it didn't stay that way all throughout the song. 1:10 was good on the drums.... smack that snare....

a few nits.... just remember.....Envelopes are your friend.

Thumbs up
