This is my yearly Autumn 12 bar. No story. Just a mood piece.
Attempting to get away from my usual chords and style.

https://soundcloud.com/tuigorge/seascapes-in-autumn

RealDrums - jazz smooth cool Sw.
Bass - RT 902 smooth cool Sw.
Strings - RT 1742 synth -modern dance Ev.
Guitar - RT 576 BB Blues Ev. --- Fabulous guitar tracks!
Guitar - RT 2444 pop country Brent Ev.

Please enjoy. Critics welcome.

SeaScapes in Autumn

SeaScapes in Autumn tears in the sky sand scattered board-walks clouds in my eyes
Shoreline deserted can't justify walkin with-out you
Bright new beginning bleak at the end clutching the air now I reach for your hand

Foaming white horses streaming salt mist sad vacant ghosts lost lips I have kissed
Time is the traitor memory insists you're here be-side me
Crushed on the tideline skeleton shells Herringbone sun-sets sweet sad fare-wells

A-drift on old pathways seeking the sun a heart fast dis-solv-ing dreams we are one
Beaches are barren where we used to dwell sharing sweet se-crets
Where is the warmth gone on the wind leaving me long-ing for summer a-gain
SeaScapes in Aut-umn

Cheers.

Wow that is different!
And what a collection of RTs, I like mixing sw and ev together in one song also.

you are certainly developing a Richmac style, every song worth a listen.

Richard,

That was a LISTENING EXPERIENCE!!!

Interesting word choices, interesting melody.

The mix of RTs is inventive. Like listening to a Phillip Glass work.

Original.

A 'moodpiece' is quite the appropriate description. I read the comments before listening but was still struck by the uniqueness and atmosphere your music presents. I liked this one. Thanks for posting.

Wonderful poetry!! The lyrics as a whole are very interesting and well done. The music is very unique-dissonant, disturbing, and powerful. This could fit into an Aronofsky film. Very strange but powerful! Take care. Greg

Hi Alyn. Thanks for the listen and comments.
The mix of Sw and Ev probably adds to the instability in a song which is fine if that's what your aiming at.
This one was after a gloomy sense of loss.
Cheers.

Thanks Greg. I spent a lot more time on this than usual. Wanted to use jazz chords and a descending bass line.
Woody Hermans 'Early Autumn' is an old favourite of mine.
'Strange but powerful'. Love that. Cheers.

You achieved success, Rich, because that most definitely is 'not' usual, but in a good way:)

Sort of a Tim Burton meets Band in a Box, since it is all rather haunting.

There are some lyrical gems there too.
