Sing Me a Song

Sing me a song cause it's cold and it's wet light the fire put on the ket – tle
There's rain in the gorge and a southerly breeze the weather's not likely to set-tle

A song of the islands a song of the sea a song for old lovers like you and me
A song of ad-venture cowboys and kings mountains and magic and marvellous things
And love me

At home in the hills in our own little world get carried a-way and ima-gine
Your songs are like windows in-to the soul you set me a-light with your pas-sion

A song of the islands a song of the sea a song for old lovers like you and me
A song of ad-venture cowboys and kings mountains and magic and marvellous things
And love me

Take me a-way from this damp dreary day some where we can fly on bright sun-beams
With wings made of song and hearts that are strong and spirits still o-pen to dream-ing

A song of the islands a song of the sea a song for old lovers like you and me
A song of ad-venture cowboys and kings mountains and magic and marvellous things
And love me

Rich, this is my new fav of yours. Wonderful lyrics and sweet tune. I think this works well as a love song but it would also be a wonderful lullaby for children.

Hi Rich.

A really nice, easy feel to the backing, which perfectly complements the lyrics.

A good mix.

ROG.

Thank you Floyd. I enjoy writing them but struggle with the vocals and the production.

Hi Greg. Reggae would probably give a good lift to this. May give it a try later.
