Here is a new song I will also post in the contest under singer songwriter.

https://soundcloud.com/davidsnyderchannel/at-the-sound-of-your-voice

Congratulations to everyone on such beautiful contributions to this contest. They have been quite stunning. This song, for me, represents the temporary culmination of a very long learning curve. Thank you PG Music for a beautiful product and a beautiful experience.

Alyssa, let me know when the album cover is done. smile Also if anyone is following me, please follow me at this new channel. I had to make a new one and consolidate to stay organized.

AT THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE

By David Snyder

V1.

At the sound of your voice
I go waltzing through the universe
all the clouds of yesterday disperse
guitars inside my heart begin to play

At the sound of your voice
Michelangelo, he paints the crowd
every dream I can say out loud
all doubting turns to ash and floats away

CHORUS:

And they say you have to take your time
but that way of love ain't mine
I'm not waiting for the sun to shine
While I'm standing in the light of day

And they say you have to walk the line
but I'm telling you my heart is fine
there are still things that you have to find
by going your own way

V2.

At the sound of your voice
I see bridges that are made of light
every wrong is just made right
and every fear is swept away

At the sound of your voice
I can finally see an end to strife
I am swimming in the river of life
and demons don’t know what to say

CHORUS:

And they say you have to take your time
but that way of love ain't mine
I'm not waiting for the sun to shine
While I'm standing in the light of day

And they say you have to walk the line
but I'm telling you my heart is fine
there are still things you have to find
by going your own way

BRIDGE

So here's to the dusty road
and here's to a heart of gold
and here's to those things that money just can’t buy

V3. (repeat 1)

At the sound of your voice
I go waltzing through the universe
all the clouds of yesterday disperse
guitars inside my heart begin to play

At the sound of your voice
Michelangelo, he paints the crowd
every dream I can say out loud
all doubting turns to ash and floats away

David

I think the style title "Emotive Acoustic Folk" pretty much captures the feel of this one.
A nice love song.

David,

I really like the way this sounds... To me it has a very cool Daniel Lanois feel to it. Excellent song and delivery!

WoW David, I thought you had roped in the London Philharmonic for that opening
You never cease to amaze me with your musical flexibility
Good song story wise, with your usual flavor added Touché

Thanks Greg. Yes, on the strings, I started with Celtic strings from Hi_Q midi, or whatever they are called, and then I doctored them and ran them through other programs.

There are A LOT of styles in BIAB that are awesome for giving you a midi string foundation to work from, tweak, edit, build upon etc. It is one of my favorite parts of the program.

Most excellent David. The lyric and plaintive vocal have a Lennon feel.

We just got lost in this one!

Great track, David. I love this philosophy as well! So cool to see long-time users teasing out innovative tricks from Band-in-a-Box.

David, this is really beautiful. Love the lyrics, and the ethereal feel of the backing. Well put together.

Thanks for sharing this one!

David,

Heartfelt and beautiful.
This takes me to a place only Neil Young at his most vulnerable can go.

Nice.

A little bit Donovan. A little bit Bread. Hell of a combination.

The bridge is killer.

Nice mix, dude.
