I have been asked many times why don't you sing. Well here's why.

BiaB style = BEEB Slow-slow 12/8 blues

I kept the drums, bass, and piano. I am playing the slide, rhythm and lead guitars as well as trying to sing.

What do you think about this one?

I Need a Flashlight

I need a Flashlight

V1
I've got wrinkles where they never were before
I've got wrinkles where they never were before
And half of my hair
Is on the showers' floor

V2
My mind ain't what it used to be
My mind ain't what it used to be
When my mind says to do things
my body disagrees

C
I wobble when I walk
My mind goes blank when I talk
Now my future's so bright
I need a flashlight

V
I still play guitar but now my fingers slow
I still play guitar but now my fingers slow
I can't play fast
Anymore

Guitar solo - OK that was pretty good

C
I wobble when I walk
My mind goes blank when I talk
Now my future's so bright
I need a flashlight

Yea my future's so bright
I need a flashlight

Today I bought a doughnut without the sprinkles. Diets are hard!

Ha....

I like the subject choice and the write itself.
Your vocal fits the tune just fine.

Vocals are always my apprehensive part of recording/completing a song.

This works Mario...well done.

I enjoyed your vocal, Mario! Clean and clear (was actually expecting more "gritty"). Well done.

Killer solo!

Mario,
Very funny lyrics and your vocals are just fine - so now the secret`s out and you`ll have to sing some more!

LOVE IT!!! Nothing wrong with your vocals whatsoever!! This is a really, really clever and fun song-I can relate (unfortunately) to all the aging stuff. Love the parity of "need a flashlight" vs. "gotta wear shades". GREAT!!!! Take care. Greg

Hey Mario,

Nothing wrong with that vocal! Love the trailing "Bright" in the chorus. And a lot of us can empathize with this lyric! Loved the humor. Cool sing.

Uh ... that lead instrumental? Hope you didn't didn't burn your fingers!

Please, don't sing again, ever!

Just kidding ;-) this actually sounds kind of nice! A nice groovy feel to it and I love the chord progression in the chorus.
So, by all means come up with some more songs with vocals ;-)

Good work on this, Mario smile I will agree with everyone else here - you definitely don't have as bad a voice as you think! The tune sounds well mixed, and the subject matter made me chuckle.

Thanks for sharing!

Well, a blues shuffle or 12/8 is gonna hook us from the get-go!

And after the hook was set we much liked what we heard.

The vocal and lyric fit comfortable in the genre. The vocal processing and guitars are cool.

No reason to warn!

Nice

I think you've fooled us in to believing that your voice wasn't wonderful, Mario. It's actually pretty nice! smile I'd be happy to hear more of your vocals in the future! It suits your style very nicely.

I want to thank all who listened and commented on this song. It is greatly appreciated!

I may sing on occasion but I'm mainly an instrumentalist. I let my instruments do my singing.

Hi Mario,

I totally enjoyed this! There is nothing whatsoever wrong with your vocal... even though I was prepared for the worst, it turned out to be a false alarm!

Unfortunately, far too many of those lyrics resonated with me *sigh*. Oh well...

In a nutshell, very creative and well put together!

All the best,
Noel
