A tune composed a few years ago now for a dear friend from Ontario who's ancestors were from Skye.
I met Mae personally a few years ago. Mae's a retired minister and has a wonderful sense of humour

only real track used is 1007:Piano, Acoustic, Solo-Accompaniment, PopFlowing Ev 120
B3 organ is from the reason 3 synth. The accordion in this one is an Elkavox 83

Mae MacDonald Kerr with B3 organ

Mae MacDonald Kerr with strings

Graham

Very tranquil, peaceful, soothing.

Enjoyed both versions, 'with strings' was my favorite.

Both versions were very nice. My favorite is the one with the B3. My mother played the organ and I would accompany her on clarinet and flute. This song make takes me back to the music when I was growing up. Touches the soul. Well done Graham

Hello, Graham

As Trevor said, very tranquil, peaceful, soothing.
Very nice melody that reminds me of Scottish folk songs strongly.
The tone of Elkavox 83 accordion is really nice.
I prefer B3 organ version.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hi Graham,

What a gorgeous song and totally delightful listen. You 'tame' the often offensive blare/screech of the accordion better than anyone I've heard. Your melodies are always gentle and comforting. This is wonderful!

I preferred the B3 organ backing better.

Wishing you well,

Alan

Thanks Deryk, a few more slow ones up my sleeve and one semi classic melody, waiting for words to be added by a singer

Both versions are lovely, furry! I think if I had to pick one, I'd say it was the B3! Though it's such a tough call to make.

Thanks for the share.

A lovely song and some great photographs. I was half expecting to see Loch Lomond or the Lake of Menteith. It took me back to my childhood holidays in Perthshire and Stirlingshire.
