Cool tune this reminded my of the British Invasion tunes of the mid 60's. Brought back lots of excellent memories.. Well done

Nice how the bass line carries the vocal along. Good minimalist approach - enjoyable.

Richard,

Nice one. Always like the way you combine different tracks from varying genres.

Like Peter, I really like how you use the bass. Nice to hear your guitar in there, too...

Rich, a neat little tune here, and I like Scott, am so reminded of a lot of the 60’s British Invasion music with this one! Thanks, Torrey

Really nice job here, RichMac! It's a really relaxed tune, and definitely reminds of the British Invasion music from the 60's. I found this tune had a lot of character, and it was really easy to sway too. Not to mention, the arrangement is top notch here.

Thanks so much for sharing smile

I have heard for decades that there was one last final song that Jim Morrison sang into a tape machine and sent off to Robby Krieger hours before we went to take his last bath.

For half a century I have doubted this story.

Now, where did you find it, and have much have you been offered for it???

smile

By the way, I just read Robby Krieger is the highest paid musician in the world and brought in 82 million last year from smart stock market investments and a fashion line.

Break on through to the other side bro.

Hi Torrey.
Thanks for the listen and comments.
I guess I listened to a lot of British music in the 60's and the influence sticks.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Love the comment about a lot of character.

The British Invasion thing has been mentioned...but more specifically we hear an Animals sound and a bit of Eric Burdon in the vocal.

The above, the arrangement and the lyric all worked for us!

Rich, I liked the way you arranged this with the sparse instrumentation and the build throughout. It does have a 60's feel to it. You always make good use of the minimal amount of instruments to bring out the lyrics. I enjoyed my listen, Tom

I have always been a fan of your writing and you ear. For picking. Picking instruments for your compositions. And this one is no exception to be sure.

In fact you beat me to the punch in a manner of saying, as I'm working on something lyrically in the same vein. Saying one thing and meaning the opposite. And you've lit a fire under me to get it finished.

In fact if you're interested and have some time available maybe we could collaborate on the lyrics? Let me know.

Here's a sneak peak:

You’re a complicated disaster, chaos you’re middle name
In 88 keys baby you’re that wonky note
If I’m lying down on the bathroom tile, you’re my sickness and my shame
You’re a sneeze lingering just inside my nose

But I don’t know what I ever did without you...

Cool song RichMac!! I like the musical groove. The lyrics are creative-in the vein of I'm Not Missing You by John Waite. Love the fx at the end! Enjoyed my listen! Take care. Greg
