Music for this song was written by Don Morrell in 1978. I had no idea what he was playing, and was unable to record the song till Jake Brigham figured it out and played the guitar part. He's a music major and a hell of a guitar player, he says the song moves through three keys. His father Bob Brigham is singing, he also sang the original version in 1978. The only BB track is the drums. The synth is my UltraNova.

I can feel the hand of promise all around me
See it dash to pieces, or grow before your eyes
I know I'm not what I might be
but I don't take it lightly
when I think I'm falling, I hear a voice
it keeps on calling
Don't stop now, don't even look back
the only way out is to push on through
the darkest hour is before the dawn
Don't stop now
When Neptune champions a sea of green
surprising me in frail machines
then fear betrays the coldest eye
as the ocean rises to the sky
the brave illusions fall away
as desperate children kneel to pray
and through the fury, running fast
a voice cries out from ages past
Don't stop now, don't even look back
the only way out is to push on through
the darkest hour is before the dawn
Don't stop now
Don't stop now, don't even look back
the only way out is to push on through
the darkest hour is before the dawn
Don't stop now
