Hello, forum friends

Sometimes I would like to make a sad song with French Chanson feel and I tried to make it.
Any comments encouraged.
Always welcome.

Best regards.

Summary of lyrics:

I already know
The ending of my next love
It will not be able to pass next summer
And it will be losing its brightness and will be decaying

I'm sure it will be the same as today
While holding an empty heart
I will be wandering about aimlessly in the city
And I will be standing in this place.

Why do people fall in love?
Though they know that sadness will come soon
Their pleasure will not last long
There can be no eternal love

But love is always marvelous
It starts with a little chest pain
And we notice suddenly
It ’s almost like a happy dream and time goes by

No one can choose well
Where love goes by himself
Even if the next love comes true
I don't want to suffer anymore

But one day, just like today
While holding an empty heart
I will be wandering about aimlessly in the city
I can see the image of my next love clearly
I truly understand

Shigeki and Yoko, you definitely captured what you set out to deliver.

This is beautiful in every way.

Musically, lyrically, and vocally perfect. The beautiful French feel has been delivered, without question.

A quality production from every angle. Well done.

REALLY cool melody and arrangement.
Excellent singing and playing.
The strings, when louder, seem to live outside the song.

Shigeki Adachi,

This is beautiful.

Yoko's vocal is very expressive.

The backing tracks are well constructed. The strings sound good. The accordion is a good choice.

A very enjoyable listen.

I like wistful songs and this is no exception smile Reminds me of melancholy Asian movies and for some strange reason, music of Norah Jones. Beautiful vocals and enjoyable warm arrangement, the accordion gives nice mood. The chord progression shows clearly your professional skills in composing.

Shigeki,
Yoko is such a talented vocalist- she captures the melancholy mood beautifully...and you have written a lovely melody here.
Your arrangement is, as always, very professional and serves the song well.
I don`t know Enthnophere but the accordion is convincing.

Everything sounds super to me! Good work with the strings, and the accordion works really well.

Yoko's got an excellent voice, and really carries the song. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Shigeki ...

You have composed such a beautiful song. You are such a fabulous arranger! Lovely melody, track selection and mixing!

And I always love to hear Yoko sing ... she is so talented!

This was beautiful in every way and you fully succeeded in accomplishing your goal. I felt as though I were sitting at the Moulin Rouge listening to your orchestra perform and Yoko singing it so beautifully. Just a note: I lived in Europe almost 12 years and have been to the Moulin Rouge twice ... this song would fit in perfectly!).

Wishing you and Yoko everything good ...

Alan

rayc,

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I am really glad you like this tune, the arrangement and the performers.
Certainly, I'm always confused about the volume balance between the main melody and obligato melodies.
I am always very encouraged by your kind words.
