You're right. The first four notes of the melody are remarkably similar to Gerry and the Pacemakers' song. Didn't realise that till you mentioned it.

Beautiful wistful chording, nice piano melody reminds me of snowflakes. Guitars form great rolling backing track and the organ gives warmth.
