Lyrics
You’re my front porch partner
Sipping summer sun tea
Deep breath of jasmine hangs in the air
The universe ends here

Ch
You, You comfort me
And my soul’s at rest
Lay my head on your chest
Feel your breathing in and out next to me
You, You comfort me

You’re my fireside friend
While the north wind blows
My fingers rest on the small of your back
Wrapped in red flannel sheets

ch

You’re my morning coffee lover
Blow a kiss out the door
The gate may creak; need a coat of paint
We’ve weathered many storms

ch
You, You comfort me

Hello James .. or do you prefer Jim?

This is my first time to listen to you. Welcome to the forum ... there are some great people and musicians/performers here.

What I like about this is the pure simplicity of the background tracks. And I particularly like the harmony on the chorus. Everything about this is simple but yet everything it needs. it's so easy to over do a production. Nice lyric with a very nice presentation. Wishing you continued pleasure with your music ...

Alan

Hi Allan,

Thanks for the listen, feedback and welcome. James is fine, but Jim works too if it's easier to type LOL.

Yes, this was my first post here. I saw the encouragement to share music on the PG Music main page and thought I'd give it a go.

Nice, the sparse backup well supports the upbeat lyric
and imagery.

James,

A nice song. The clean backing works well for it.
The adds along the way give it a good flow.

Welcome to the Showcase...

Welcome.
This is a good song with a good backing and a nice melody well sung.
You do need to come to grips with editing your vocal though...there's mic handling or other room noise just prior to you singing as well as a bunch of essing & some plosives.
Jump onto Youtube - you'll find some Sonar Platinum specific vocal editing/de-essing etc tutorials there.
I don't expect any one, myself included, will get a great handle on dealing with sibilant sounds in a hurry but there are plug in/VSTs that can help you straight away as well as more manual yet more effective processes you may wish to consider learning.
WHY?
Simple answer - your song is worth it.

Cheers

Nice song James...
I like the lyrics you used to start each verse...

James,

A really good song . . . I agree the stripped backing works really well for this song. And the lyrics have some really nice lines . . . the chorus really resonates and supports the hook; it's a strong image that conveys in a very tangible and relatable way how the singer feels. Well done--enjoyed my listen a lot.

My best to you,

Deej

Looks like there is a time limit on editing original posts, so here is a De_esser version of the song as suggested by Ray.

That was a nice tune, easy listening, worked well. A line or two were shoehorned (the small of your back) but most of it flowed real nice. Good work.
