PG Music Home Forums General Discussion User Showcase Kyrie Eleison + Magnificat (parts of a future, greater sacred work?)

It's been a while since I wanted to write a Requiem (or, at least, a similar such sacred work). Problem? No time. BIAB has been such a Godsend to me ... and, since world health-related events have spiralled so much in recent days, I thought I'd re-visit the idea as a collaboration between myself and BIAB ... anyway, here's what I've come up with, an instrumental for the opening section, "Kyrie Eleison". Thanks so much for listening and for any feedback.

EDIT: I've also written - with BIAB's help, of course - a "Magnificat" since posting this. It's a strange thing to have in a Requiem, due to its optimism, perhaps ... but ... hope you like it anyway :-)

God willing, there will be more to come ... but let's hope that these, for now, are reasonably ok as potential parts to a hopefully grander, longer project. Again, thanks for listening.

MAGNIFICAT lyrics (edited a little by myself):
