This is just a little jazz piece that I wrote based on a chord progression in a clarinet studies book. The progression sounded nice as I played the exercise so I thought I would try it in Band in a Box to see what I could do with it.

Here is: "The Lonely Sax"

Rich, that sax is fantastic. You did a great job transforming a clarinet study into a great song. Your mix was very good also.

One thing that bothered me was a glitch at the 10-15 second mark. The rest of the song is smooth as silk but that section is troublesome, at least to me. YMMV

An excellent song.

Exercise helps you with decision making. It's true. I went for a run this morning and decided I'm never going again!

Thanks for the comments MarioD.

I will checked that out and see what you are referring to. It sounded fine here but maybe in the conversion to Soundcloud something happened. I'll check.

I appreciate you taking time to listen and comment!

MarioD asked a good question and I listened to where he mentioned hearing a glitch in the music. What I tried to do there was make a ritard at the end of the intro before going on to the chorus. Evidently it is too much of a ritard and makes the section sound awkward. I will see if I can fix the ritard and make it a bit more smooth and less dramatic.

Thank you MarioD for catching that.

Thanks for the comments TuneMonger.

I guess I should have included the information on the RealTracks that I used. This piece was mostly used to test out tempo changes and a neat chord progression that I liked. It was also a mixing challenge to engineer the song.

Here are the RealTracks that I used:

Style is _CRAZE.STY (Craze Lounge Groove Soloist)
