RealBand 2025 Build 5 update is available:

Summary of fixes since Build for build 5:

  • Fixed: Pressing the Render button in the Style Picker to render the tracks would result in an Access Violation.
  • Fixed: Playback would become silent after Cleanup Nodes.
  • Fixed: VST3 effects might be labeled as Select VST3 Effect instead of the effect name if loaded in from a .SEQ or .TGS file.
  • Fixed: Stem splitter window might erroneously issue a flash message indicating the destination track already has data if it was empty, if you already generated some stems.
  • Fixed: HALion Sonic would crash when the editor was closed, such as when you select another plugin slot or select another effects group.
  • Fixed: If a VST plugin changed its editor size after the plugin was already loaded, then the VST/DX plugins window wouldn't adjust the panel size in response to the new size.
  • Fixed: Issue with undo only undoing the left channel of a stereo audio track on certain commands.
  • Fixed: If running RealBand version 2025 for the first time, it wasn't defaulting to the new single row toolbar.
  • Fixed: Realband was relying on the 32-bit version of BBW to be present in the BB folder to consider it to be a valid BB folder.
  • Fixed: If merging tracks to a stereo file or auto-converting a MIDI track to audio, the VST/DXI plugin panel would disappear and not be redrawn unless you switched to a different plugin slot and back to the current one.
  • Fixed: If Auto-converting a MIDI track to an audio track, then Acidize Wav File dialog would unnecessarily pop up.
  • Fixed: If the .INI files for the VST/VSTi plugins weren't present in the RB folder, then the item in the plugin slot dropdown combos that lets you Select a VST3 (or VSTi) plugin wasn't displayed.
  • Fixed: If the VST/DX plugins window was re-opened, then a message asking if you wanted to unload the PG Stems player could be shown.
  • Added: Missing localization language strings. Also, stem splitter can handle UTF-16 strings and works with all languages.


Summary of fixes since Build for build 4:

  • Fixed - When loading VST3 plugins, the tab of the plugin control panel might not show the name of the plugin that was loaded
  • Fixed - When in Big Note mode in Notation window and then clicking on the Big Note button again to go back to regular mode, it wouldn't restore the previous setting for note names in noteheads
  • Fixed - When loading in a MGU or SGU, utility tracks could be placed on a much higher track number than necessary.
  • Fixed - Dragging a .FLAC file into the tracks window wasn't working
  • Added - language resource strings
  • Added - Clear buttons (to clear the memos) and other minor updates/fixes/adjustments to the AI lyrics window
  • Fixed - if a MIDI track was using a port that had a VST3 soft synth, the port display on the track would say Select VST3 Plugin even after a VST3 soft synth was already selected.
  • Fixed - if loading in a .SEQ that had VST3 effects group settings stored in it, and the Audio Driver Type was set to Windows Audio, then the VST3 effects would not load and those groups would revert to the VST3 Audio FX Selector.
  • Fixed - if the current song was using VST3 effects and you switched the Audio Driver Type to a different driver, then the VST3 effects could be unloaded and those groups could revert to the VST3 Audio FX Selector.
  • Fixed - In the Tracks Window & Mixer Right Click menu, the Tracks submenu had some old non-functional items.
  • Fixed - VST plugin list might not be populated
