Hi Robert, Good song and well sung. Only suggestion - the vocals are ceratinly initimate but they are popping right out of my speakers and too many sss's.ttt's and plosives. You may consider redoing the vocals a touch further away from the pop-screen and mic or just edit these out in your DAW. Best Regards Nigel

Hi Laurent, Very good pop song - I particularly liked the vocals and the instrumental breaks. Vocals - they could be made to sound more human if: Verses - less words per phrase where a human would not have time to take a breath. Verses & Choruses - reduce the length of the held notes at the end of phrases slightly. Well done Best Regards Nigel

Mario, you are a master of imagination and creativity!!! I always love the places your musical mind takes us!! And the description is almost as good as the audio!! LOVE IT!!! Take care. Greg Thanx Greg. I'm not sure that I am the master of anything! Actually the description came a lot easier than the instrumental.

Song of Summer This song sounded better in my head than it actually sounds recorded. But my output has been rather low lately, so here it is. I'm not happy with the vocal, but it's the best I can do anymore. The Wrecking Crew: RT908 Bass, Electric, SmoothBallad RT4632 Fiddle, Background AmericanaMovinSparse RT519 Bass, Electric, Pop HalfNotes RT1764 Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Pop16thsA-B RT2558 Cello, Background SlowSwing EZKeys Piano NI Electric Mint NI Strummed Acoustic NI Picked Acoustic Drums on Demand Sunrise on the mountain With you at my side We danced in the constellations We glittered the sky I can't go back I can't go back I wouldn’t ask you to wait for me Or look for a sign from above Keep your memories under lock and key But don’t forget that we once loved High tide on the ocean Salted kiss in the breeze ‘tween the shore and the sunset I sank to my knees I can't go back I can't go back I wouldn’t ask you to wait for me Or look for a sign from above Keep your memories under lock and key But don’t forget that we once loved I followed you into the night Like the Cranberries’ song “Linger” You had me wrapped around your finger Waking up to the scattered light From a foggy outdoor slumber. We sang our song of summer

Ooooo, what a serpentine feel in the music. Good song, and the high points are Chris' vocal and that guitar solo.

Selecting compatibility mode should allow you to tell Windows 7 Cakewalk Guitar Pro 2 is designed to run under Windows XP. My recollection is that there's a 32 bit Windows subsystem, so it should work. Unlike Apple, Microsoft is surprisingly good at keeping backward compatibility.

I had that problem on my tower PC, I had to unplug the Win HD for it to boot Linux each time. I made a Linux install on a USB 3 stick for my sister's HP notepad that seem to work using the laptop's boot menu. They were partitions on the same SSD drive, so wiping the partitions was my best try. Didn't work. Win8.1's desktop was cra^H^H^H suboptimal anyway. Whatever, it's done and AVL:MXE now has the entire one terabyte SSD to itself, my touch-screen PC is back and I'm feeling less stressed about a forthcoming sound setup and rehearsal. I have another laptop that I could fall back onto, but it's Windows, has no built-in touchscreen, and getting an external touch screen reliable has been an issue. A mouse works at a pinch, the touchpad is useless/scary for live sound. I could also connect a touch screen direct to the mixer, but I find it a bit slow and clumsy like that.

"I was taught To be judicious I got suspicious Went my own way If I were rich So ambitious That’s fictitious One more someday" Nice lyric and cool rhymes indeed. As Peter said, "Pretty, gentle song, nicely sung" That well sums it all up. Enjoyed it! J&B

'Cuz academics gonna academic rather than just learn how to play.... You can't become a musician by reading books about play music anymore than you can become a heart surgeon by reading books about heart surgery. Of course I don't know how heart surgeons practice, but I know what it takes to become a musician. And it ain't by reading books. This last wave annoying people who have joined the last couple of years all want the microwave fast lane to becoming musicians really changed the flavor of these forums. I haven't wasted the time to check but I'd bet a choklit' shake that they have never even been into the real "music" forums, only the off topic section. The ChatGPT, Scaler, every AI gadget in existence people who think they "write" songs with no human input or musical acumen at all. Sneak in under the tend rather than buy a ticket. I will make a lot of people happy here very soon when I close this account and never return. If it wasn't for the half dozen people here I actually respect I'd have done it already. Just practice a few hours every day when you would otherwise be reading the books and watching videos hoping you will learn by osmosis. There's no formula. Play your instrument.

Someone in another forum asked the question below. Anyone have an answer other than screen resolution, etc.? His question . . . When using MICROCHORDS the Lead Sheet notation of the chords appears TOO SMALL. Any idea to make these microchords to appear in a readable size? It seem to be a fault in BIAB. The prints outs can not be read with this size. TIA!

There's a world of difference between being able to identify the elements of a song that make it an earworm, and being able to write an "earworm". This article tells what elements are found in an earworm, but doesn't really tell how to write a catchy song. That's not surprising, since the author is a music critic and author, not an a songwriter. And as the author admits: "If we could pinpoint exactly how to write an earworm, a lot of pop songwriters would be out of work."

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
