Hi Pat,
That's a great thought. I teach the physics of sound and I can't believe that I have never thought of doing this. Fourier transforms in action! I'll be playing around with this for sure. I'm also going to play around with using a Hammond B3 drawbar organ VST (if I can find one) to add those upper harmonics. Now if I can find a drawbar plugin that will allow the drawbars to be controlled by envelopes, I might just be able to simulate different types of articulation ....
