I'm from Europe but live in the US. When I listen to your tune to me I imagine driving a convertible in the US, with this feeling of freedom. Loved the vocals and nice partnering with J&B.

not my genre...but superb vocs as always. very good song. loved those doubles...and the cleanliness of the mix.
happiness om Thanks, om... Floyd, I know I'm in for a treat whenever I see a new upload from you. Wonderful! Great vocal as always, and Janice always comes through to add the perfect touch. Nice write, my favorite among many: "like a young child needs attention and a flower needs the rain a heart needs reassuring that love remains" Your mixes always make for a great listen through the 'phones, each individual instrument comes through cleanly, never any mud. 200 songs is an amazing achievement! Especially as they are all good songs, I don't recall ever hearing a song from you that wasn't. In a perfect world you would be a household name I think. Looking forward to hearing the next 200! Dave - thanks for the great comments. It really is nice to have such a great group of musicians and songwriters who are willing to take time to listen and comment on the work that we are doing. I really appreciate all your support!!... Congrats on your 200th, Floyd!! And I dig Dave's idea of a perfect world; still I'm happy to be in this one where at least WE get to hear these amazing songs of yours. I'm also glad that PGMusic keeps The Birth Of A Song pinned to the top of the Showcase. I'll never complain about cutting grass again.
Thanks for going out of your way to help us all along the way.
Man, I'm on my 3rd spin of this song, and barely typed anything yet... Guess that says it all. THANKS, Floyd. Marty - thanks for all the support that you have given my music. Truly appreciated!!

Wow, what a great anniversary. Congratulations, and thanks for the tips you've provided over the years. My favorite lines in this song:
"sometimes it's the little things that say you will be there sometimes it's to the moon and back just to show how much you care"
Banjo and mando were a treat in this one. And of course, superb singing by both of you.
I really like this Country song. Good mix, harmonies are perfect.
The kick drum makes an immediate statement. Interesting mix - a bit "dark" with the snare tucked back a bit further than I expected. As usual - excellent write. The conversational tone feels natural. Catchy melody, the banjo sounds works as a good counterpoint in the chorus. The mandolin is standout as well. Clear mix. The added percussion at the end is a nice change. Excellent vocals, especially the harmonies. Nothing flashy, just very well done. Congratulations on #200! I appreciate the mention of my small part in floyd's wonderful song! Janice

Thanks for stopping by, Ronnie... The kick drum makes an immediate statement. Interesting mix - a bit "dark" with the snare tucked back a bit further than I expected. As usual - excellent write. I actually reduced the kick quite a bit, using EQ. It had gotten really dominate because of the evolution of the song (a long story), and at times, re-listening, I thought it was STILL a bit too much...

Always a good mix from you, Floyd. Good lyrics too. I know I've said it before but I always think of the late Hal Ketchum when I hear you sing. Good stuff.

Just in time for valentines day! Nice write, catchy melody and as always fantastic vocals.
Partnering with J&B looks like a good way to go!
The addition of Janice's backing on this is like the sweet filling in well made deserts.
Nice one for sure.
moto The pick up notes worked a treat. Whilst I admit that, personally, I'd reduce the kick click, I also have to admit that NOTHING needs changing. A positive, affirming lyric, a sweet melody, a fab band and JANICE. Ace work FJ, ace. Happy 200th!
This one would have fit in anywhere in your catalog very nicely.
A very smooth presentation. You have a wonderful recording technique, studio, etc. All you songs sound so polished. Great backing vocals by Janice. They are mixed in perfectly. Great lyrics, and gold star to:
"a narrow path ain't always straight"
Excellent song.
Thanks y’all! It was so much fun to contribute to this! Janice

Congratulations Floyd A worthy song for the anniversary Great collaboration with Janice Wish you further much joy in the music and good ideas for your songs All the best and stay healthy Andi ;-) Thanks, Andi!! I like everything about this one, Floyd. It's one of those songs that when you hear it, you think to yourself, "Man, that was good." Thanks, Scott.... Hi Floyd,
Great mix - crystal clear vocals and perfect instrumentation.
Well done.
Best Regards Nigel Thanks, Nigel.... The pick up notes worked a treat. Whilst I admit that, personally, I'd reduce the kick click, I also have to admit that NOTHING needs changing. A positive, affirming lyric, a sweet melody, a fab band and JANICE. Ace work FJ, ace. Thanks, ray. I agree that the kick is a bit louder than it needs to be (put more the thump than the click). Glad to have someone notice those pick-up notes! Thanks... Happy 200th!

Sensational delivery from the entire team (as expected).
Fantastic songwriting (as expected)
Top production (as expected)
Trev - always appreciate you stopping in for a listen!! Thanks!! Congratulations for your 200th song posting. It's an achievement we've all on the forum benefited from. You reached the milestone with a well written and performed song and the Floyd, Bud and Janice team works like a well-oiled machine and you guys never fail to hit the mark with every new release.
I enjoyed my listen and will likely be singing along after another few spins. This is a good one.

Congratulations Floyd!
Really terrific, catchy country song! Banjo and mandolin work very well here. As always... good music and great vocals.
Rob and Anne-Marie RnAM - Thanks! Great to see you guys back!! Hey this is another great folky ballad Floyd. I really liked it!
Excellent use of the tracks.
Thanks, David... floyd
A superb 200th song. Lovely in all respects, melody, lyric and vocally.
You have a great gift as a songwriter and having Janice to put the icing on the cake is a treat for us listeners.
We are indeed fortunate to have such talented people on this forum making great music.
Peter Thanks, Peter. As you know, Janice is always icing You and Leon are part of that "talent pool", too... Floyd
For number 200 your sure picked a good one!
I am definitely not a fan of banjo, but boy does it sound great in here! Those guitars and mandolin are mixed beautifully!
The vocals are great as always with your tunes and I feel Janice's background vocals are sitting in the sweet spot supporting your lead!
That chorus really sticks with the listener well after it's all ended...a sign of something pretty good!
Congratulations on number 200 and I want to say thanks for blessing all of us here with so much great work over the last few years!
Thanks, Torrey Really appreciate all the kind words, Torrey... (but be aware... there is more banjo on the horizon - one of my Christmas presents to myself was the AmpleSound Entho Banjo - it is stunning!)

Right.... it was a temporary outage apparently.
Another good one that maintains the high bar you are known for.

Another excellent song.

As always everything is perfect.
Loved it.

FJ, You are one of the most productive (I hate the word) talented artists I have followed. Congrats to you on this 200th anniversary tune! It is great that you found Janice and Bud who can hear you and join your journey. Excellent tune! I listened to it a few times on different setups. Sounds great through earbuds and on bigger system. A+ vocals by you and Janice. Thank you for being here.
