I cut the piezo off from the electronics you can see. The pup is under the same bridge.I wired a jack to the piezo that is tie wrapped behid the bridge. The pre amp is a Tech 21 VT Bass pedal that sits on the floor.There is also a removable peg to raise the bass to playing height. I'll post a pica asap.

+1 to Richard's comments. Except I don't think it looks like a Frankenbass - it's a modern bass with slight nod to tradition. And it looks like you had some fun with the design and build. Tip of the hat, kudos, and all of that kind of admiration...

I kept a piece of ash around here for two years thinking about making a bass from it and eventually gave up. I got projects, lots of them. They just ain't gettin' done

John, how about drawing up the plans and either offering them up for sale or for free? There are a couple of free 3D modeling softwares out there: Google Sketchup and 123D which you could use. You'd be a hero in the 'maker' community.
