We've been in winter state of mind ALL day what with the record cold weather here. Wiped out a day of planned outdoor fun.....so here we are drinking hot tea and listening to song posts and we see your new post. How cool is this? If were in a winter state of mind why not listen to "Winter State of Mind." Guys, that is a fine vocal and lyric and the mix sets the mood perfectly. Very nice!!

Dani, those low yeahs were right on target. The resonance in your voice really comes through. Nicely written and sung. Good mix. Your chord progression always blows me away. Great job. C'mon Dean restrang that thang! Tom

Awwwright Tommy. Lissen to this: You know, I think I'd rather eat a razor burger than re-string that #@!&* 12 string. At the same time, those two sets of Super Slinkys were so decrepit I had trouble even creating a crummy solo. So, yesterday, Sunday mind you, I ran down to Guitar Center and got the kid behind the counter to do it for a 20 + the cost of the strings (cheap!).
I had to atone as quickly as possible for crashing Dani's great tune without cutting my fingers to ribbons the way I did the last time I tried restringing it myself.

Hi, Josie !:))
I am very glad you liked this little jazzy tune ! I was left with the need to satisfy all beer sippin´fans hangin´ around in the lounge !!(lol) !
Cheers Dani Hey, I’m one of those beer-sipping fans that hang around in the lounge But I’m sober enough to know a good song, band and vocalist when I hear one and I am hearing one right now! You did a great job on this. To really nit-pick I will say that the guitar lead didn’t fit this song’s style. I would have expected a mellower, smooth sounding lead guitar for this type of song. This is nothing about Dean’s excellent guitar skills it just didn’t fit IMHO. This is just my opinion and nothing else.
Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Hey Mario,
All I can say about the solo is that I really hope you didn't hear the original one, where I couldn't get the instrument in tune but plowed ahead anyway.
I appreciate the comment simply because it isn't the usual laudatory boilerplate. It has interesting content relating to guitar style.

Dean Hey Dean, No I didn’t hear the original version only the latest. But having a 12 string myself I know all about changing strings. If you don’t have a string winder like this http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ernie-Ball-PowerPeg-Battery-Powered-String-Winder-105297881-i1435852.gcthen I suggest you get one. It is a lot easier changing strings with it! I’m glad you did not take offense with my suggestion.

Hi Danny and Deane,
I'm incredibly late in getting to this one. I'm very glad I caught up with it, though. Wow! This song and its arrangement really create a fantastic musical mood. Wonderfully sophisticated music.
Regards, Noel

We've been in that state of mind ourselves. Nothing like you experience I'm sure.
Groovy tune. Very intriguing and your vocal fits in the mix perfectly.
'Tell 'em Dean', and he did.
