Must admit, I don't have one.

Looks to be in good condition. Get a good deal, or did ya splurge on it?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Ahhhhh, Nice...

That'll embellish far more than just the sound quality, and you know you've set a new standard that all will have to follow.

Visual Ambience!

psst - I can turn you on to a VINTAGE lava lamp, in original and authentic blue & purple suspended in a yellowish fluid that used to be clear but now has that patina from age that cannot be duplicated in today's re-issue lamps.

*Thermionic Valve Technology

*Utilizes at least three chemicals found to cause cancer by the State of California

*As it warms up in use, releases the authentic aroma of stale Patchoulie Oil

*Induces that authentic original 60's HUM into any single coil pickup guitar when running

*Its faced the hardest times you could imagine-tm

*Genuine Pot-Smoke Patina guaranteed to cover every square inch, including the bottom

*Includes provenance copy of divorce proceedings, hey, its the only thing she left in the crib!

Yeah... it's a cool acquisition. I got it from my Mom's house. She had it back on her sunroom/porch... covered in dust.

It has large sparkles in it rather than "lava" but it's still cool.

Oh.

Well, if it came from Mom's house, then its likely not one of those new made-in-china knockoffs.

So I gotta change that to another great lyric line.

How about, There's nuthin' like the Real Thing, baby... There's nuthin' like the Real Thing...

You've got the equivalent of finding one of those rare original Desert Sand strats, then.

Oh you got if from your mom’s house!

That explains why it is monophonic!

Did you have to load the drivers via a floppy?

PS - cool lamp!

Today I bought a doughnut without the sprinkles. Diets are hard!

The lava lamp that we have is early 2000's vintage. One of my sons requested it for a birthday gift.

It seems to take longer to heat up than my typical time in the studio. He wasn't in his room at long lengths, conscious at least, and I have to make quick strikes in the studio, rarely longer than a couple of hours - so it is never plugged in.

I got this one plugged into the same outlets as the studio sound gear..... so when the speakers are on, the lamp is lit.

It's definitely analogue, no drivers needed or desired.

You know it is the most essential part of a studio.....

I don't know how I made music without it in the past....
