SR,
From my "Earring" chair the sounds are very good.
Far exceeds my short effort.

I listened to your sample Frank, all it needs is the drone, just use a held bass note and a tenor and a bit of reverb to play with it and it will sound good. In the Options.txt just set it to Drums and set the UT Bar Settings as last 4 bars as Ending after you have rendered to wav drag into RB and highlight the last 3 Bars > right click > Audio Effects > Gain Change > Fade Out. For the Melody I just used some Tradition Bagpipe tunes mixed together (still needs some tweaking and bar settings to play certain bars) You can get some 4/4 BWW Bagpipe files and save to Midi then drag them into RB, they will have a drone track with the bass and tenor held notes (when opened with the first player below). There are a lot of 3/4 but I don't think the 3/4 UT are working yet are they ? For Endings just use some of the song endings and lengthen the last note in the piano roll to ring out over a few bars then after you render to wav and drag into RB fade out the last 3 bars out as above with the drone track. BWW Bagpipe Players This one Saves to midi http://bagpipe.eotrs.dk/ This one opens ABC http://r.fifi.free.fr/BagPipe/telechargement_en.htm www.musescore.org will also open and Export to midi.

I typed up a nice post..... and dumped the thing. Here is a result of drone and melody...my source.. Beta test for sounds only... Beta test for sounds only... Accomplished using ReadBand and SampleTank 2.5 VSTi playing Omni Gm pak.Someone might put out a contract on me....I'm trying to stick down 1 road UT's but get sidetraced. no pun intended. Found it off screen. Yesterday had 8 or 9 total wipes when audtioning a completed UT.
Today only 3 so far. Never know outcome until the audtioning(testing) takes place.
Thats reason trying to stick to UT'S.
Still here, haven't left, am interested in the pipes tho.
Thanks for the tips.

SR.
We have to be careful about what is put up here. Wanna have fun, but not make copyright folks riled.
Ya on the mix, there is only volume level....
I have links, but not supposed to put them up here.
Try to walk on the happy and safe side.
Thank you for the atta-boy!

Amazing Grace is Public Domain no Copyright same as the others Traditional ones. Save the midi to a wav with Ctrl+A then drag it up to the wav drop then out to a folder then drag it back in to RB to 3 or 4 new tracks then add a different amount of reverb FX to each track and a bit of panning then render them down to 1 stereo wav, Render > Merge Audio&VSTi to Stereo wav.

SR,
That sample was a midi with several chorus. Loaded into RB. Set up Sampletank 2.5 VSTi. Selected OMNI GM file. Picked ch 110 bagpipes. Selected chorusing and tweaked to my best, opinion. Set up drone using track 2 with 110 bagpipes same settings. Actually ST 2.5 was default.
Adjusted levels a bit. Then rendered to wav. Audacity to Mp3, and you hear.
This for newbie folks. No magic, simply 2 folks Sharing ideas.
I found a really excellent midi source for bagpipes music. This is why the copyright concern. Not postable here.
Thank you.

SR,
I could hear reverb in #2 the best.
Do agree some verb added does enhance the sounds.
Just finished email request with music site I sourced the midi song from.
With their permission I will do some number of music pieces and share them.
Regarding a user track....not sure bagpipes would make a good "Backup" track. They pretty much rule the melody arena.
Gotta so few chores now, been goofing off for several days. Life does interfere with music a bit....

I took the grace notes out as they didn't sound right in midi. You can do that if you want by copying the midi track in RB and check Data Filter then in the Duration set it to start at 100 then paste it in to a new track.
