SD,

Haiku. What a clever idea to use for lyric presentation.

I've long known the format of 17 syllables presented in 3 lines of 5-7-5 syllables but I've never ever tried to write one. It seemed too challenging for me. I've just done a bit of research and what I didn't know was that Haiku are generally about a feeling or image created by nature. No wonder you chose it.

I'm incredibly impressed that you worked within the Haiku constraints and produced such a terrific sounding piece of music.

This is my favourite Haiku...

Quote:
With April’s cool breeze
Cherry petals float and fly
Snowflakes of the trees

The metaphor of blossoms as snowflakes is very creative and very visual. When I heard it, it was like I could nearly reach out and touch them. Awesome!

Overall... a very, very enjoyable musical and lyrical journey.

All the best,
Noel

Noel,
Wow! That may be the nicest comment I've ever received. Thanks so much.
I guess I was too dumb to know what I was attempting was so hard. I like that snowflake analogy also. It really looks like that so eaven that was pretty easy to capture.
I'm so glad you liked it.

Alyn,
Thanks. Again, I tip my hat to the PG Staff that came up with style. My wife suggested I use a jazz rather than latin drumset. Then it was natural to use the electric piano rather than an acoustic piano. Thanks for tuning in and your kind comments.

Hi SD.
The chorus really sails away and is set up nicely by some instability in the verses.
The instrumental verses maintain interest also. Good one! Cheers. (nice voice)
