BiaB isn't user-friendly at all. Its all so complicated and the functions, which you are looking for, are hard find. There are so many functions, which are destroyed in all the menus, that you need months or years to figure out, where you can find special features. And after a while you forget it and have to seek again. An example: Try to make a style, song or track as favourite. I couldn't figure it out and had to ask the support. Why not right-click for all the stuff and choose "Make favourite" . IMO BiaB needs a complete new rewrite. Over the years PGMusic just puts more and more functions in the same old-fashioned structure, but the structure doesn't fit anymore .

The request for a complete rewrite has been suggested and seconded many times in the past few years.
A complete rewrite is a +1 from me.
When I was young I was poor. But after years of hard, honest, and painstaking work I am no longer young.

I think behind the scenes they would be working on it right now while still superseding the old model.
A enormous undertaking but so worth it.

+ 1 biab is way primitive compared to what could be done. http://artsites.ucsc.edu/faculty/cope/experiments.htmOr check out Kronos Karma there is one for apple that at least supports different scales. the basic algorithm (parallel transpose voice leading) is way flawed.

I think they are not working on, they switched every thing to audio styles, so they can ignore it for now. Eventually something open source will come out.
They have no competition, I hope I am wrong
