This may be a stupid observation, but here goes. As an avid user of both BIAB and arranger keyboards (Yamaha at the moment), I wish it were possible to purchase and load BIAB styles in the keyboard and have them play like the built-in arranger styles, with appropriate fills and the like. Maybe it can, and I don't know how it's done. Maybe there are legal issues, or whatever, I don't know. All I know is that the BIAB styles are more numerous than arranger styles and better suited to my uses. I play BIAB midi files often through the keyboard and they sound great. I'd love to be able to play the keyboard in real time with BIAB styles that are professionally created specifically for arranger play-----and not styles that have gone through some kind of transformation process.

Hi there. I'm a new user (just joined) and saw your post about using BIAB styles on an arranger keyboard. I do just that with my Korg PA1X arranger. I see you have a Yamaha keyboard so it's no good my telling you how I do it as I am sure it wouldn't work on a different make of keyboard, but do persist in trying as some of the BIAB styles are first rate and I use them freely on the occasional gig. Incidentally, I got my info from the Korg user forum; there's absolutely nothing about it in the PA1X manual!! Good luck.

You can save your BIAB style to midi and use EMC's Style Works to convert the midi to a Yamaha style or you can find out how Macaddict makes his Korg styles and use the same software to convert from Korg to Yamaha styles.

Have a look at EMC's product:
