This is a remix of a song Di and I originally recorded in 2011. All the backing tracks are new using BIAB RTs. The original was recorded using a different music program. But the vocal is Di's original track from 2011, before her health nose-dived.

The lyric is a bit cheesy but was written to emulate the Bossa Nova style from the early 1960s - think of Edie Gorme' or Kim Novak, if you're old enough to remember either of them.

Any comments appreciated, particularly regarding the mix - I played with the mix all afternoon and still not sure if I have volume of the various tracks pretty close to where they should be. Thanks in advance.

Really nice work on this one I love the upbeat and positive it is! The bossa groove is superb and got my toe tapping right away. I can imagine this sounding great in a live setting.

As a relative newbie here I think that`s the first time I`ve really heard Di sing...all I can say is, WOW! Nuanced phrasing, sensuous interpretation, beautiful tone... all so much more important than the lyrics here ( which are just fine).
Very, very good backing track- the flute is a perfect fit.

This nailed that 60's Bossa-Nova style perfectly. That flute was the perfect lead instrument! Di's singing is fantastic. The mix is spot on, don't change it.

You are always so kind to our music. We appreciate that very much. And we're delighted you enjoyed this one. Taming that flute and, on occasion the piano, was quite a task. I compressed them as much as possible without loosing their tone and ambience, but I still spent almost an hour manually adjusting the volume at the individual measure level. Loving it here! Sounds like it came right out of the 60's, lyrics and arrangement spot on and Di really nailed that vocal.
