Thanks for the nice review Dani. I could never emulate the Beach Boys the way you do.

As Robert so well stated, "Leon does that wry observation thing as well as anyone I can think of"

And, you nailed that Dylanesque vocal feel. Something we should hear more of!

Nice guitar, write, vocals, harp...nice everything.

Well done y'all!!!

The beginning is sudden - maybe a fade in of the 1st 2 seconds?
The spoken/singing is as Knofler as Dylan and more Ian Hunter than both - if the organ was mixed higher it'd sound more like Mott the Hoople.
Cool song.

And the crowd stands, sways, and sings along with that chorus! Just great.

Dylanesque in a non-ironic way. I like this a lot.

Peter:

This is a terrific write and outstanding production—some killer lines in those lyrics. Really hits on all facets of the song—like the back up harmonies starting on that second chorus. I like the Dylan feel to this, but would love to hear in contrast what a less Dylan-esque take might sound like. Great, great tune. Enjoyed it a ton.

All the best,

Deej

Wonderful writing! Great retro vibe - To the composition and especially the vocal!

Much appreciated Lawrence.

Nice write, well sung, classic sound. Catchy chorus.

In spots the vocal seemed a bit buried in the mix. Or my hearing is going. crazy Didn't want to miss any lyrics, because it's a well written.

Like others, I enjoyed the listen.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Peter & Leon,

As many others said, this is very Dylan.
The chord progression is also very Dylan-like.
I agree with Dave.
You should handle the lead vocal more often, Peter! I dig Leon's vocals of course but you have something special happening too.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
