I'm pretty sure the animated guitar picker in red is Danny Flowers, who also wrote "Tulsa Time", another song Don Williams recorded.

I seem to know more country songs that I had thought: Of course, Tulsa Time is among them, but didn't know the title and the artist.

I searc'hed the comnents on that video for the word 'guitar: Oh boy, that 'animated guitarist' sure provoked very different ones. From 'great' (that's what I think) to 'he spoiled the whole song'. Whatever, I'm sure it took some guts in 82 to appear on a country show dressed like that...

But DF has changed quite a bit since then, and it would be the ultimate challenge for him to wear such a thing today (would have to be XXXL, I guess..).

Thanks again for the hint - enjoyed surfing through what he did after that.
