Hi all. This song was inspired by "Copper Head Road" All comments welcome. The Fiddlewood Tree If any thing bad should happen to me. I've buried my gold by the fiddle wood tree The a sheriff and a posse chasing after me. You know I'm done for. One last kiss I ask of you before I lay dead on the mountain dew. There's a gun and bullet gonna shoot me through. You know I'm done for Chorus I wanna dance all night neath the waxing moon with you. Had no idea that life could be so cruel Bridge The hounds are baying they smell my blood. I pray for mercy from the lord above. Is no time to get back to you. You know I'm done for They'll hang me high from the fiddle wood for a warning to the folks that look at me. The golds still buried beneath my feet. Ace job Rob.
The only thing I'd note is that the acoustic guitar on the left, when it comes in, overwhelms the mandoli on the other side a little.
I might even be inclined to alter the volume envelope so that the mando plays the emphasis hits as well.

Really nicely done! Love the folky vibe on this. It sets a whimsical atmosphere, and the instrumentation is really lush and full. Enjoyed the stream of consciousness style lyrics here too. Great work, and thanks for sharing

Like the way the arrangement builds atmosphere. Vocals are the icing on the cake. Well done.

You outdid yourself on this excellent tune. Your vocal was really strong and the lyrics where great, as was your mix.
You could put out a CD using this genre and I think that it would sell!

Catchy as hell. Great arrangement - I love it when the fiddle comes in. The kind of thing I'd find on my parent's records, and play until the groove was bare.

Excellent use of the Americana tracks - love the mandola and mountain fiddle.
A good story and very catchy repetions in the melody.
This style really suits your voice and you`ve done a great job on the production.
Definitely one of your best!
