Also, if there's a modal window in the background, try <Alt><Tab> to see if you can bring it to the foreground, even pressing <Escape> or <Enter> may acknowledge it.
Failing that, shut down using the Task Manager and start again to free up something stuck behind the main form. Yeah, alt-tab shows that there is a window, but it would not bring it to the front to be clickable. Ctrl-alt-delete no good, task manager also opened behind BIAB. Logging out/shutting down from the start button was the only thing that worked. Anyway, as noted above I will see if the normal or minimized screen modes resolve the issue. Thanks again.
