Does anyone have a good explaination of how to use TC H in BiaB? I could use a few pointers. I want to build in a touch of harmony on some tracks.
Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2024, Realband, Reaper, Harrison Mixbus 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.

Rob,
Record or import a mono vocal track to BB's audio track. Clean, with NO effects, otherwise the TC will add artifacts when it renders a harmony.
The easiest way to get harmonies, select the whole vocal, select a harmony in TC, then render the whole file to SEPARATE wave files in a folder. I use "follow the chords" for the TC setting. Adjust the TC settings on the right to taste. Audition, readjust, audition etc...until you get something you like.
Raise the harmony volume knob and lower the lead in TC when you Generate the file.
Open an audio sequencer and import each wave file, cut out the parts you do not want the harmony on, add effects, mix and render to a stereo wave file.
The key is having a clean, in tune, mono vocal file for the TC to use to generate with.

So if I make the track in say PTPA, and export it as a wave i can import it to BiaB as an audio track?

Yes, import and sync it in BB.
Or, you could use the TC in PT the same way.
If you know the chords where you want the harmonies, type them in the chord cell area (C7 button) in PT and it will generate from the chord input, no midi needed. You only have to type the chords where yopu want the harmonies, not the whole song etc... In PT, you can select just the bars where the harmonies go, BB is different since it only has a single audio track.

Thanks MT, i imagine if i export a midi file from BiaB to PT then that will give me a nice song bed to do the vocal over, then make the harmony track delete the parts not wanted, and export as a wave and import into BiaB and i should be golden.

Yes, a midi file would import the chord structure into PT. In PT, you would select the range of bars (Chorus, Bridge, or even just a few bars to make your harmonies with, no need to delete "parts not wanted". You can select the exact # of bars in PT, not BB.
Why would you want to import into BB? Make the harmonies in PT and be done with it. Do you have PT there?
I was saying to delete the unwanted parts with a harmony made with BB. BB only has a single audio track. You either harmonize the whole song, or select parts and have bits of wave files here and there to try and sync back together. DO NOT hard write-generate the harmony to the audio track in BB. You want the harmonies on separate tracks for more control in the mix down.
If you have PT, export the song from BB as a midi. If there is a wave file in the audio track of BB, it will auto save. Open the midi and wave in PT. Select bars you want harmony, click TC button. Set up TC dialog and audition. Adjust, audition etc...until you get something you like. Render and move to the next section of harmony. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed etc...
