Finally, for the best forum on the WEB!!! – the full version of:

EPIDEMI (full version)

The vocal tracks are recorded - a mix is done - the Covid-19 infection rates is rising and the restrictions in my country are getting tougher!

Thanks again PG Music: You have created the best software for making songs come true in these times of great changes!

BiaB tracks used:

Style is _GOODVIB.STY

RealTracks in style: 2755:Bass, Electric, RockHeavy16thsDoug Ev16 090
RealTracks in style: 3347:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HazyFunky Ev16 090
RealDrums in Style: Rock16thsSync^01-a:Closed Hat, Snare, b:Open Hat, Snare

Epidemi

Fjorten grader
Grensa er stengt
Leter grundig
Etter ord som er gjemt

Ingenting
Eller bare støy
Smitte-budsjett
Og stats-vern æ’kke gøy

Epidemi… O-oh…
Epidemi…

Fire franske friller
Hadde kongen en gang
Nå sitter’n helt alene
Og må dikte på sin sang

Etter U2
Ble det #Metoo
Du og jeg og vi to
Snubla i en tresko

Epidemi… O-oh…
Epidemi… La-la-la-la…

Du skal gjøre mot din neste
Slik at jeg får det meste
Det er til det beste
For de fleste
Rottefest – Plastikkpest – Pengegest – Oljerest

Jeg vet ikke mer
Jeg bare reflekterer
Det jeg ser
Og det jeg observerer

Epidemi… O-oh…
Epidemi… La-la-la-la…

Transelated version:

Epidemic

Fourteen degrees
The borders are closed
Looking thoroughly
After words that are hidden

Nothing…
Or just noise
Infection budgets
And state protection ain’t fun

Epidemic… O-oh…
Epidemic…

Four French concubines
The king once had
Now he’s left all by himself
To compose his song

After U2
It became #Metoo
You and I and the two of us
Stumble into a clog

Epidemic… O-oh…
Epidemic… La-la-la-la…

You must do against your neighbor
So I get most of it
That's for the best
For the Plebs

Rat party - Plastic plague - Money gesture - Oil residue

I really don’t know
I'm just reflecting
What I see
And what I observe

Epidemic… O-oh…
Epidemic… La-la-la-la…

I enjoyed it!

A bit "noisier" than most music I listen to, but lots of interesting things to hear, and a catchy chorus. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

I'm not sure of the purpose the snort at the beginning serves except to be a preview of the snort/sweep/glass sound in the verse (which is too loud to be honest), or to suggest symptoms of the disease.
Other than that it's pretty cool.

Cheers

Einar,

A very cool sound to the overall track. There is a lot of interesting additions along the way to keep the listener engaged.

I thought the vocals (which are nice!) were just slightly lower than they should be - a little "buried at times". The claps have a "bright tail" that overshadows things at time. And the guitar tabs at the end were a bit "bright and loud" (just a little). I thought it might be my monitors, so I also check it using earbuds.

Overall, I enjoyed it (and your journey).

I really enjoyed this one. Nice effects, tempo, and sound changes. I do think that the vocal should be more up front in this one. Sometimes it is very hard to hear.

Today I bought a doughnut without the sprinkles. Diets are hard!

Thanks for listening, David!
It is a "noisy" subject I have tried to make a soundtrack to…

Thanks for paying attention to the details, rayc!
The snort was not meant to be there, but a song needs a starting point. One of my all-time favourites is the opening snare on Every Breath You Take by The Police. So I kept it for a rhythmic purpose – but yes, the song is about the pandemic situation…

Thanks, Floyd!
Still working on the mix. This song is a tough one because of all the "noise". How to mix it and make it sound good. I fully agree with the vocals and the snare/handclaps on the chorus. It's a science how to "glue" it all together. Sometimes I wish I was mixing a power trio, not a computerized monster. Still, BiaB gives me a great option to choose and try different ideas.

I'll keep you updated on the final version.

I do agree about the vocal tracks – still working on the final mix. The words do matter to me!

Very active song.
Lots going on there.

Overall mixed well just a few things poking out a bit but, could just be personal taste.
