Matt Finley Veteran Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 26,204 Hudson Valley & Lake George NY	The most important spec by far for BIAB will be the CPU. justanoldmuso mentioned an Intel i7 CPU, and I agree. For Reaper or another DAW, the speed and size of the storage drives becomes very important. I recommend an SSD for Windows, and I use a second SSD for certain programs including BIAB, audio editing, DAW and video editing. Then I have a very large fast Western Digital Caviar conventional drive for storage, plugin libraries, etc. Your comment about recording for 35 years made me realize I've been recording for 55 years. BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
