Hi biab members,

Today I am submitting a composition that is close to my heart. This is a soundtrack dedicated to my sweet dog Shana who is overflowing with love. Every day, she is by my side and shows me a lot of affection.

To make this soundtrack, I always start from Biab, I create the chords; Here I played the piano even though I am not a virtuoso. I then imported via the Biab vst in studio one and I added some harmonic lines. I often use biab strings that I readjust and correct according to the melody. I hope that all those who appreciate animals like me will appreciate this soundtrack which is only a small tribute to our everyday companions.

If you have the time or the inclination please comment, I will appreciate it. Because the opinion of specialist musicians is very important to me.

Here is the link to this soundtrack Shana, my lovely Dog

Dogs are some of the best people I knw!

That's a pretty rich composition.
A nice balance between delicate and powerful but, yet a very uplifting vibe.

Nice!

Hi Derochette.

Being a dedication to your dog: Shana, a nice Irish setter , I would think something a little more intimate and perhaps Celtic, would work better.
However you have produced a very beautiful, cinematic, sweeping piece of music ,suitable adulation to all the K9's of France.

Derochette,

Lovely composition. I like the choral vocals you have highlighting the instrumental in the beginning and end. A very pretty and sweet, and certainly deserving of its muse, Shanna.

All my best to you,

Deej

Hello CaptainMoto,

The Irish setter is an ideal companion, a little crazy, but so affectionate. I'm glad you like this soundtrack. Thank you for your nice comment.

Hello Gary,

You're absolutely right, a more Celtic sound would have worked better for my dog Shana. But when Shana listened to the music she was all excited and I found it suited her personality well. Thank you for your appreciation.

Wonderful tribute, Derochette. Love how you build the excitement. What a brilliant use of Band in a Box. Virtuoso? When I was a kid I thought the term was a knock, like some who can only play so-so. Virtually so-so. You are a master of composition and performance.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi BabuMusic,

Thank you very much for this charming compliment. I love Biab, it's really a tool that makes composition easier. There are a lot of midi files in styles which can be easily extracted and then reworked in other Daws. Thank you again and take good care of yourself.

Derochette,

A beautiful piece - to my ears, anyway.

I enjoyed the orchestration. The choral voices are a nice touch.

Your piano playing is quite nice.

Good mix.

Lovely in all aspects.

Wonderful use of BiaB to accompany your nice playing.

The soundstage is rich and full on our monitors.

Enjoyed it ... from two folks who love dogs.

Great arrangement--I listened while I was doing some house chores, and I thought it sounded quite cinematic. I especially liked how you brought the intensity down near the end. Your use of orchestral strings and the choral elements was really good. Your dog should be proud of you!

Beautiful piece. Flowing and graceful, and about the midpoint turns majestic. Emotional ending. This composition evokes your dog in my mind.

Hello Tano Musik,

I'm happy that the sound is transmitted well to acoustic speakers because I work with headphones and I do not realize if the mix is correct. Shana joins me in thanking you.

A lovely piece. it's not for me to interrogate how it relates to the critter but as a piece of music it's lovely.

Cheers

Really pretty music!! I have always loved Irish Setters......wonderful, smart, sweet dogs! I used to see them around a lot in the 70's and 80's but rarely see them lately. Not sure why. Really enjoyed the tune!! Take care. Greg
