Hi Deej56,
Thank you for your comment. Biab brings me a lot, but without the atmosphere vst that I was able to put on certain chords, I would not have been able to create this felt tension. I'm lucky, I have a lot of different soundbanks that I use depending on the theme developed. For this soundtrack, it is only the projectsam symphobia 1 soundbank that was used

Hi Vicarn,
It's nice your comment, but I don't sing very well and I don't have lyrics so I try to create different instrumental compositions that are pleasing to the ears of the musicians at the biab club.

Cool! It sounded good in my headphones, big without being too bombastic. I think the feeling of building tension came through well in the music.
I can see how it's helpful in something like this to build on top of something, instead of starting from nothing - even if you end up discarding all the BiaB in the end.

Hi dcuny, Thank you for commenting. I don't agree when you say that I finally kick Biab out. In my daw studio one, for each of my soundtracks, Biab vst permanently occupies one track. Biab vst is a creation tool. Each user is free to work on the realtracks or on the midi files generated from the realtracks. If you have selected a solo realtrack for example in a key different from the starting style, the generated realtrack can go down in unsightly bass. You then have the choice: either you use a tool to process the soundtrack and enhance it in certain places of your melodic line with tools like melodyn or you work on the midi track of the realtrack while knowing in this case that you must use a vst approaching the instrument of the realtrack. But you can also choose another instrument. For example in my next composition, I am working on a mandolin solo realtrack. I found that, due to the key chosen, the sound was not beautiful because the mandolin descended in unsightly low tones. In this case, From the midi file of this realtrack, I replaced the mandolin instrument with a vst piano and vst flutes. In summary, I think it all depends on how you use Biab. Either we develop its composition in the Biab program or we work with the vst Biab in another Daw. And in the latter case, the vst biab offers a multitude of solutions that it would be difficult to do without. But in your last composition, you did import midi files into synthesizer, that's not why you ejected Biab. Without hard feelings.

My mistake. I didn't hear anything that was obviously BaiB, so I assumed (and was mistaken mistaken) that might be the case. I had a feeling that might be the case when I wrote it. In this case, From the midi file of this realtrack, I replaced the mandolin instrument with a vst piano and vst flutes. I usually just immediately look for another instrument, because I've heard that the automatically generated MIDI isn't necessarily that good. But I'll have to remember it as an option. But in your last composition, you did import midi files into synthesizer, that's not why you ejected Biab. I ran into a number of problems with the MIDI when I did that. Unless you adjust the settings, BiaB tends to put a small gap between the notes for notes entered from the GUI. Voice synthesis programs interpret these gaps as a break in words, which isn't what you want. So I'll probably be doing note entry in other programs, if I intend to export it. (I'm too lazy to figure out the right way to do it). I suspect that's not a problem with the MIDI transcriptions, though. Thanks for the correction! No hard feelings at all.

Derochette, Atypical it is Pretty cool scoring tune with tasteful fx usage. Good amount of tension. I can hear it resolves by the end, but the last seconds fight seems to come back. Did they survive, or that in the next episode? Good mix and arrangement. Thank you for sharing. Misha.

Hi dcuny,
I thank you for your reply. We all have different ways of working with Biab. And this Forum allows us to compare our ideas, our feelings and above all allows us to have new ideas that we had not thought of. Thank you again for coming back to comment.

Very, very creative and we enjoyed about how it all came together.
You met your objective as we could easily visualize the theme. This would fit very well with Apple's current series "For All Of Mankind."
Excellent!

Hi Torrey,
Thank you for your comment. But it is unlikely to be noticed, because there are a lot of sound movie score musicians on the market. Thanks again to you.

Very clever construction, each individual part (or instrument) carefully chosen and crafted to fit perfectly, making a "whole" that accurately builds tension which is finally released at exactly the right moment. Well done.

Dense and, at times, claustrophobia inducing. I love the bottom end...lot of rich deep tones.
