Sometimes the best names come to us when we're not thinking too hard and just let it comes to us. This song definitely has some funkiness to it, and it sounds like you definitely did have some fun with it. Thanks for sharing!
Funkamentally good show. (Couldn't resist :)) You're so down with that controller and I particularly liked the sound of the ample bass. The mix sounds really good on my jbl's.
Sung to the rhythm of your composition, 'Funkamentals' (cool title, dude!):
"I was listening to a track by MarioD An experienced user of BIAB He was feelin' kinda funky, put the hip on the hop I was snappin' my fingers and I could not stop!
His wind controller chops were truly right-on He blew sax, trumpet, and flute all night long The dude was jammin' and I won't lie I can't wait to hear the next thing he lets fly!"
'MarioD', keep on mixin' it up like this. You put the 'B' in beat, and 'unk' in funk, brother. Ha, ha !!!

"Music is what feelings sound like."-- borrowed from a Cakewalk Music Creator forum member, "Mamabear".
The title got my attention Your name got me to listen Your performance had me stay To me, it's so amazing to hear how you are using all of this technology to "do you" on instruments you wouldn't normally play. It's an exciting world, and you are showing how exciting it can be! Neat song of someone jamming. Got me thinking I need to do more of this. Love the freedom of what you did. Not sure what happened to my pronouns.
Great job Mario!

TEMPO TANTRUM: What a lead singer has when they can't stay in time.
Ember, Thanx so much for listening and commenting on this little jam of mine.
Josie, Thanx for the very nice comments. I liked your Funkamentally so don't be surprised if some day it becomes a song title!
Thanx so much Peter.
Marty, I really appreciated your comments. Actually you have to give BiaB a lot of credit. Without BiaB I couldn't do most all of what I do. Plus it pays to have a brain a half a bubble of center like mine!
Thanx for listening and especially that "You produce some of the best instrumental music around" bob. It will take a week for my head to return to its normal size.
David, Thanx for listening and feel free to use Funkamentals in your lyrics. I'm sure you will put it to good use.
Thanx Robert for taking the time to listen and commenting.
Bluage, if you sing those two verses I will cut and paste them into the song. That was very clever!
James, yes I am a little scary! Thanx for listening.
Thanx Dave I'm glad that you liked it.
HearToLearn, Thanx for that very nice review.
I greatly appreciate all of your for listening and taking the time to comment. Thanx to all of you.

Nice research in terms of sounds. Mixing the sax (plus the trumpet) and the flute gives a pleasing result to the ear. It is a beautiful result. Well done.
Mario, fun and catchy tune. Very good controller playing! Enjoyed it. Thankyou for sharing.
Misha.
P.S. If I remember correctly you have Komplete.. I would definitely try to run those drums through their Session drummer or Drum Labs vsts, they do have GM mapping.
Thanx Misha for commenting. No I do not have Komplete. I only have Kontakt and FM8 for NI. I have a couple of good sounding GM drum kits but they only cover the basics and not the percussion. I do have some good percussion sounds but I have a ton of things going one so I took the easy way out and used a soundfont kit.
Loved the pic!
