A good build to the song, Ezekiel. Your voice or voices really make this song soar with the angels. The drum is perfect as is everything in the mix. You keep it interesting, and the lyrics are also a big part of the excitement.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Almost literally Rock-Opera to my ears. Deep subject, deep voice, deep band, deep tempo. It really fits the lyric and makes me 'feel' like I'm punching through the marsh with a full kit. Excellent.

Hey Scott,

This sounds great to me!

The drum mix sounds fine and I am very picky about drums.

Good job!

Three hours a day on the road? Could not imagine. Be safe.

The drums sound fine as does all of the mix. Baritone electric guitars nearly always
add character to a mix and this is no exception.

The vocal mix sounds fine to us.

"Walking down this road alone
Two fists of nothing to call my own"

Those two lines are at the get go and grab your attention most excellently.
Engaging write!

Well done,

J&B

Sorry Scott.

After a rethink, I have censored myself.
In the group of amateur, hobby musicians that i am involved with, we enjoy reviewing and dissecting each others songs but the forum is probably not the right place for that practice. It is enough to simply enjoy your fine song.
best regards
Gary.

Gary,

I did read your original post, but haven't had the time to comment because of my job. I actually appreciate your analysis and the time spent doing that. I with I had the ability to analyze music like that. You can keep analyzing. I don't mind. When there are comments about production faults, I try to fix them. When there are comments that arise from someone's preferences or opinions, I consider them.

Hi Scott,

I found this really captivating to listen to. Every now and then, aspects of your presentation reminded me of Jesus Christ Superstar. As I sit here thinking about why that occurred to me, I'm guessing that lyric content and your vocals played big roles in this.

From my perspective, this is excellent music.

All the best,
Noel

Ezekiel,

Strong work on this—production is solid; vocal is stellar. Definitely a J. Cash feel, as others have mentioned. Real nice country folk feel to this. Nice harmonies/BGVs in this as well. Excellent work!

A three-hour commute is killer--ugh! But hopefully you have some great music and books to listen to on the ride. Stay safe!

All my best to you,

Deej

Noel, Chulaivet, Cap, and Deej:

I appreciate your comments mightily! Thank you.

Noel,

Funny you mentioned JC Superstar. Over 40 years ago, I portrayed JC in a production of Superstar. One of my most favorite roles.

Brilliant. Yes, it's got a Johnny Cash vibe, but it's you. The lyrics, in particular, are outstanding.

Good luck with the commute - I like your songs a lot, so I hope it won't be too heavy for you and it'll let you continue to post on here, as much as possible!
