Blues All Over You

All night drinkin’ actin’ the fool,
Gamblin’ my money till there’s nothin’ left to lose.
Wake up in the front yard, stankin’ like sin,
sleep all day, get up and do it again.

Oh the things you’ll do, when you get the blues all over you.

Go out chasin’ womans, and makin’ my play,
Don’t wanta catch em, it’s just the thrill of the chase.
Don’t want no woman that wants to get caught,
Done got one at home that I can’t run off.

Oh the things you’ll do, when you get the blues all over you.

Come home late, wife ask, where I been,
what kinda’ mischief you been getting’ yo-self in?
No time to think ‘bout what to say,
said I was abducted by the CIA, and she agreed,

That I had the blues all over me
Oh the things you’ll do, when you get the blues all over you.
( Solos )

Gonna wake up in the mornin’ $hit, shower, and shave,
Haul A$$ off to work, and I won’t be late.
Gonna clean up my livin’, gonna’ try to be good,
Go to church on Sunday, just like I should.

Oh the things you’ll do, when you get the blues all over you.
It’s plain to see, That I’ve got the blues all over me.

Super listening. I was really drawn in by all the rhythmic interactions going on. (Safari, play that again!)

How 'bout that band? My first takes are always sloppy, but on a tune like this, I didn't want to second guess myself... Thanks for the feedback.

Great blues song, bloc-head, lyrics and vocals, and especially the the whole band and how you mixed them in so perfectly. I got the blues all over me, under me and through.

Enjoy whatever happens!

We got some blues going round the forum..... Good one.

I enjoyed the story line.... sounds familiar.

A really good job all the way around from the writing of the lyrics to the instruments to the mix.

REALLY cool.
The 1st Oh "the things you’ll do" seemed a bit rushed & collided internally but the subsequent ones were smooth.
I'm not a fan of the kick drum - but I seem to have a problem with BIAB kick tracking generally.

Cheers

A really neat song, great lyrics, the percussion drives this really well.

The harmonica spells 'blues' throughout, and the breaks fit so well.

Great job, no question.

You have got to be one of the most creative people on this forum! I am always blown away by the incredible work you post every time! Anyone who says a musician can't produce a professional sounding work with BIAB, needs to listen to your work!

A fan!

Thanks, Torrey
