Had a listen the other day but didn't have time to comment, the grandkids are off school this week and are staying with us and they keep me pretty busy wink

You are truly the master at writing love songs I think, floyd.

This is pure perfection, from the instrumentation, the vocal, the mix, and of course the lyric. But then I probably say that about all of your songs smile

Loved it!

VERY well done Floyd.

This is the ultimate love song, two people going the extra mile for each other

Great intro, as usual outstanding vocal and mix but this time it was the lyrics that touched my heart.

Loved it.

FJ,
Sorry late for the party. Current events just derailed me emotionally. Very soothing and healing love tune. No surprise, a very good performance. Easy listen.

Hey Floyd!

Really nice man!!

It is always a joy to log in and see one of your songs.

You probably know what I am thinking, being the psychic that you are, and it's not like I just sent you an email or anything.

But hey, to change the subject, I had a terrible nightmare last night that I was in a toxic landfill waste dump of dead chickens pulled from a nuclear hazmat site.

Then I woke up, and saw you had a nice new song for me to listen to and I realized it was all just a very bad dream!!!!

Thank God!! I think you know what I mean man!! smile

I played this for my wife and her response was "that sounds like us!"

From one songwriter to another, I'm don't think there's anything more I need to say.

This sounds so live.

Like something a well honed band would do in a small venue that featured great artists before an attentive audience.

Your vocals are excellent, as always, and Janice commented on how much she loves your phrasing, as always. smile

The fingerpicking guitar is a great accompaniment to your voice and the piano and steel support the sweet lyric so well.

As the song finished Janice said, "I really like the people in this song. They're my kind of people!"

A bright spot in a long stormy day. Thanks!

Beautiful song, Floyd. If I may be so bold: I just thought that the voice was just a little too "up front" in the mix ... just a tad too harsh, "in my ear", perhaps? But that's probably just me. Apart from that, top notch, as usual :-)

Floyd,

Another beautiful write and excellent production. Starting off it reminded me of John Denver (though less so in the chorus) . . . he’d do a mighty fine job on it, I’m sure. But not sure he’d top your rendition. This is pretty much perfect. Wonderful tune!

All my best to you,

Deej

Those bad dreams are spreading like wildfire. Toxic waste dumps unavoidable. Step lightly and we might make it out of here alive...

Floyd...what an exceptional song...you are a brilliant lyricist and this is just another example of that...I'm a sucker for acoustic music so I love the beginning and as it builds instrumentally it was like a rose opening up to the sun...if I heard this on the radio I would not be surprised...the hook is top-notch and the melody was fresh and contemporary sounding with a classic country feel,,,really fine song.

Primo lyrics paired with a brilliant melody.

Thanks, James. I listened on several different "systems" (monitors, comp speakers, ear buds, car) and I don't hear the too-up-front-ness or harshness that you referred to...so can't really address that...

Hi Floyd,

I was pretty amazed when I tried to listen to your song (I am terribly late with that) that I got the message the site couldn't be opened, as being a 'dangerous'' site. Tried it several times, and even with the antivirus program disabled.
And I read all the coments about your so nice song...
Are you hacked by the Russians?

Give me a clue, please!
Hans
