It's been a little while since my last song post.

Most of my songs are inspired by events around me.

We all know what events surround us theses days.

I felt compelled to create something that speaks to the current events.

Unfortunately, I'm a complete novice at BIAB so, my skill level was not sufficient to use it to create this song.
Someday I hope to reach a higher level of BIAB skills.

For now, It's all me, guitar, synth guitar and vocals.

Here's a simple song called: "Sacrifice "

Hi Captain
Well done. I also get a bit of a Doors vibe (as happens with a few of your songs). Unspeakable what's happening in Ukraine (and Syria). If only music really could change the world.
Regards,
Leon

This is a real song about a real war in a real place with real people who are treated no differently than any other barbarian would treat people.

The music fits the song, the song fits the times.

Every time I look over at my rifle I also wonder how much longer can I just watch.

I have tried three or four times to write a song about all this but all that comes out is anger and tears.
Thanks, moto.

Billy

What kind of music should you listen to while fishing? Something catchy!

Definitely hearing the doors vibe as others have mentioned, and that's ok in my book.

This is just a very real song about a very real and terrifying situation, and it's very well done.

Nice!

What a good song about a very bad situation. So well done, Moto. The steady beat indicates the marching madness of war.

Enjoy whatever happens!

"Masters of War" , strange that you mention that.
I recently did a cover of that but rules prevent me posting it here.

I wasn't shooting for a "Doors" vibe, but, I'll humbly accept the compliment.

Thanks Misha,
What a shame we have such madness in the world.
A little song aint doing much to help but, at least it brings a little more attention to the cruel reality of this invasion.

moto,

Powerful!

The tracks/instrumentation set the mood perfectly. And the vocal puts it over the top.

REALLY well done.

WOW what a dynamic song.

Unfortunately it is so true in the Ukraine.

Many there are making the ultimate sacrifice

Finally yes it does sound like something Jim Morrison would write.

Loved it.

Thanks FJ,
When the master speaks I pay attention!
Greatly appreciate your kind comments.

I've been struggling with what I would do to speak to this subject.
I settled on this simple arrangement.

This hits the mark dead-on. You captured the dreariness of the situation perfectly. I liked that cello or whatever it was. It add real atmosphere. I don't know if you know how to make the guitar wail but if you do, you should lay down some wailing guitar at the end. If you can't, get one of the great players on this forum to do it. It would really elevate this thing a couple of notches.

Top notch work.

Thanks for the comments.
I hear what you're saying, I could have added a few more elements but, I was trying to keep it simple with focus on the subject rather than the music.

Maybe I'll do some wailing on a future song. wink
