I Can't 'rap

Up is down, down is up. Can’t make my move, I feel like I’m stuck,
in a rut. everything is all f’d up…
I can’t ‘rap… Can’t ‘rap my head around that. . .

Right is wrong, wrong is right, Can’t disagree without a fight.
Don’t seem right, everyone is so uptight. (everyone’s uptight)
I can’t ‘rap… Can’t ‘rap my head around that. . .

If only we could see, that if everyone agreed with me (with Me)
What a cool place this would be… if we
Could only just BeLIeVE
Can You ‘Rap Your Head Around That..?

~ Solos ~

If everyone could be, like me, (grin;-) then we could all agree… (like me)
What a cool world this would be… if we
Could only just BeLIeVE
Can You ‘Rap Your Head Around That..?

Day and night, black and white, nothing’s what it seems,
And it don’t seem right, what’s up with that?
“Can You Wrap yo’ Head Around That?”
I can’t ‘rap… Can’t ‘rap my head around that. . .

I can’t ‘rap… I can’t 'rap my head around all that. . . . . .

Yep..... solid lyrics that go towards exploring the crazy world we live in these days where common sense seems to be a lost art.

Nice work.....again I get a Steely Dan vibe off this from the harmonized vox to the chords used.

Very well done.

Interesting and timely lyrics with some irony (or self-irony?).
I enjoyed especially the chording and melody of the chorus.
Good band, nice moody groove. Cool vocals and effects.

That really hits the spot.

Excellent write!
Interestingly wide mix.
Vocals are very well done, the band comes together nicely.

I think you've got a winner here.

Lots of fun goings on here. A bit too dense/overproduced sometimes. I love what you do with the assisting vocals.

Anyhood, 2 points for playing with the ambiguity of wrap / rap meaning able to comprehend / able to explain – though I spent too much time wondering if this was a commentary on hiphop.

It's a really good song but it seems trapped in a Silk Degrees production.

Hey Blockhead, this is your best to date

The lyrics are so true - where did common sense go

I liked the production as is; I wouldn't change a thing

Loved it

Yes, there is a bit of "self-irony" (tongue-in-cheek) in the lyric "if everyone could be like me" grin;-)
I'm so glad you enjoyed this... Thank you for listening.

Great song and great performance by all involved, and a totally pro mix.

Perfect in every way I think, doesn't get much better.

Hi Bloc-head,

A very good song, man! Strong intro, swinging and powerful vocals!
Good lyrics as well!
I told you on a former song of you, I got feelings of KC and the sunshine band. Here it was the same.
All the time the background vocals come in it looks alike. They are great.

I agreed with Dave this is very good, can't get any better.
Liked it a lot. Still listening (4th time...)

SO well done from the first note to the last. The production is top-botch, and there is so much goodness going on in there. There are so many styles that it is a song that everyone could enjoy. Reminds me of Doctor John (Mac Rebennack) produced by Quincy Jones.

Enjoy whatever happens!

BH,
Wow! Brilliant music, vocals, mix. Everything shines. Sort of spiced S. Wonder. Enjoyed this a lot.

Super song...thematically, lyrically, musically and your performance was so cool! Your diversity in music is very impressive and this is one of your best tunes IMO...and the mix...man that was tight! Hope you can wrap your (bloc)head around that...great stuff!
