The Call
With times like this I wanted to share a worship song that I completed for a client project.

For this song I used BIAB RT exclusively:
Bass-1827
Drums -PopModernGrove
Electric Guitar -1831
Piano 1839
Acoustic Guitar 1828
Horns 2291 and 2290
Strings 2334 and 2457

Bob,

This is really well done.

Excellent write. "Fresh" as far as worship songs go - not the "typical".

That piano is perfect - you must have worked at getting that to not "overplay".

Excellent vocals and harmonies.

A lot of power in the chorus production. The entire production/arrangement has a very "current" feel and sound. Impressive.

Good stuff.

Very nice, Bob. As you know, there's that line between worship songs as spectator or participant. This one has qualties that serve both aims, meaning, a worship song that lends itself to the congregation paticipating in the singing.

Your voice really fits the song! Great melody and I really like how the song intensifies when the chorus begins as well.

Bob,

This is excellent. Worship songs are not typically my genre, but his one is a pleasure to listen to—really pretty melody and arrangement, topped by a terrific vocal. Outstanding!!

All my best,

Deej

Hello Bob,

Powerful build of your song. Very well done!
I like your vocals and the melody very much.
Like Deej, I'm no 'believer' in terms of your lyrics, but the song itself I enjoyed very much.

Bob, I really like this song and production. It's sounds very current contemporary and Christian. Great message, great sound. The arrangements are neat and unexpected at the end (at least by me). It all came together very well.

That is a stellar production and all the more so given the exclusive use of RT's and the RD.

Excellent piano and the not over done strings sit very nicely.

The song is packed with dynamics that well augment the lyric and your excellent emotive vocal.
Fine harmony also.

We are suckers for open mixes with excellent soundstages and, man, does this ever fit the bill. Janice looked at the SC waveform and said, "it breathes!"

Great!

Contemporary worship song at its absolute best

Great vocal with outstanding lyrics

The blend is spot on

This should be played on all Christian radio stations

Loved it

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Vocals take the lead here, as they should. Excellent write. Love the conversational style!

Backing tracks support and don't get in the way.

Really nice. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks for the feedback-- pretty amazing what BIAB can do on its own and mixing RT outside of a specific style really creates endless possibilities..... I wouldn't have a business without this tool (or any fun either).

Bob...what an exceptional contemporary P&W song...a great one always starts with the lyric and these lyrics summarize the Faith so beautifully...it's all about answering The Call...the melody is captivating, light and airy and teamed with that great harmony captures the Spirit of the lyrics so well...are you singing the lead? because this is the best male voice I've head on this forum IMHO and perfect for this genre and song...so well done...should be playing on K-LOVE right now IMO...loved it!
