I've been struck by covid this week ...it laid me out for 36 hours or so and I'm slowly trying to get back on my feet...but on the bright side my voice has dropped a octave (or two)...so, I recorded a bass vocal on a song that I thought needed a quartet sound...I tried to keep it subtle in the mix ...anyway a new BiaB arrangement and Covid 19 get credit as producers on this number...so, if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

Firesong,

Well, every dark cloud has a silver lining—how many times have I wished I could drop on octave or two. As for the song, what a great melody and catchy, warm chorus. Really well done backing vocals throughout. Really well done song!

All my best to you,

Deej

Haha, a Covid co-write. Brilliant. I've also recently used an illness to get a tired, achy sound to the vocal, but had nothing like this to show for it. What a wonderful bouncy song, and the harmony is extraordinary. "Jesus wept" is the shortest line in the Bible. In Gethsemane. Another wonderful gem, Dan. Sounds like you got through the virus and came out even stronger.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hey Deej...thanks for the comments...yeah, I've used colds and flus a few times to wrangle "bass" parts for songs...it's easy to get the lowered voice but a bit tougher to stay on pitch and you have to be careful not to infect your microphone!

Sure sorry you've been sick, but all things work for the good - and here's another example. Great country sound. Another fantastic mix and great song with a great message. Glad you're feeling some better!

Well Dan, I guess there is a bright side to Covid after all! Just kidding of course, nobody wants that! I have a feeling that you could have recorded those fantastic vocals anyway! And speaking of the vocals, they are some of the best that I've ever heard here! What a great song! It's such an easy listening song with a super message! Enjoyed every second of it! Thanks, Torrey

Thanks Brad...yeah I think I'm on the mend...though it's slow...I can't find much stamina yet but "the joy of the Lord is my strength" and I find great joy in singing His praises...thanks again brother...Dan

Torrey...thanks so much for your comments...my buddy Marty Smith did a great job with the lead vox...I miss singing with him and Gene as well...I found the vocals for this on an old ADAT tape I was rummaging through the other day...one of those hidden treasures in the closet I guess...anyway I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment...Dan

Hey Floyd...thanks for sharing your comments...I really appreciate them...to me harmony is what music is all about...it takes at least three notes to form a basic chord and I believe that vocals sound best in three parts (IMO and if I'm sick well a quartet is possible! thanks again for your thoughts...Dan

This would fit right in on a Sunday morning show at the bluegrass festivals we used to attend (and gig at), Dan.

Wonderful, tight harmonies and a fine supporting band for this uplifting lyric!

Enjoyed it and hope you continue to feel better each day.
