My favorite key combinations (Ctrl-+) and (Ctrl--) in mixer do not work any more in new BIAB 2022. Any idea?

Welcome to the forums.

What exactly did those keyboard shortcuts deliver? Maybe they have been replaced?
I don't recall those specific commands. If you could let us know their function, maybe we can advise the shortcut combinations to use.

For any keyboard shortcuts you wish to use, please reference either the Help index found in the Band-in-a-Box program or the online program manuals available on our site here: https://www.pgmusic.com/manuals/index.htm

Hope this helps!

Best,

Jerry

I use BiaB afew yars. Below is part of text from help file 2018 (References-Shortcut key list). Please read the last string! Now it does't work at all! Any recomendations?

Instrument Part Settings
Hold down Ctrl+Shift and the letter to change these instrument settings.
Q,W Decrease/Increase Volume
E,R Decrease/Increase Panning
T,Y Decrease/Increase M. Reverb
U,I Decrease/Increase A. Reverb
O,P Decrease/Increase Bank
Use Ctrl+Shift together with the 1-9 and 0 keys on the keyboard to select Favorite Instruments. For example, let’s change the Piano part to Electric Piano 1.
1. Press Ctrl+4 to select the Piano part.
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+2 to select the Favorite #2. That is Electric Piano 1.
Use Ctrl+Shift and the minus [-] and equals [=] keys to decrease/increase the patch by 1.

OK, different now. Previously you mentioned Control+- or Control++, but now you mentioned <Control><Shift>'-' and
<Control><Shift>'='

Here are the current commands for the Mixer:

Track Mixer Settings
Ctrl+Shift+Q Decrease the current track’s volume by 5.
Ctrl+Shift+W Increase the current track’s volume by 5Chapter 15: Reference 371
Ctrl+Shift+E Decrease the current track’s panning by 5.
Ctrl+Shift+R Increase the current track’s panning by 5
Ctrl+Shift+T Decrease the current track’s reverb by 5.
Ctrl+Shift+Y Increase the current track’s reverb by 5.
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R Set the current track’s volume.
Ctrl+Alt+A Decrease master volume by 5.
Ctrl+Alt+S Increase master volume by 5.
Ctrl+Alt+D Set master volume.
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Q Decrease all tracks’ volumes by 5.
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+W Increase all tracks’ volumes by 5.
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E Set all tracks’ volumes

Please refer to Page 370 of the BiaB 2022 Manual. That's the definitive list of what should be available in the latest version.

OK, AudioTrack, thank you.
I know all of this.
That means you do not know what happened with mixer after 2020 revision. I give up!

Don't give up. Contact PGMusic about this issue. Just maybe such hotkeys were accidentally deleted during an upgrade.

If that doesn't work then put a suggestion in the wishlist forum.

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Mario's suggestion is good, and one you should follow. You are correct to say that I'm not aware of why those changes were made. But I am only a user, just like you. Contact PG Music Support. After all, it's their program.

I'm sorry, AudioTrack, for my words. I'm not a Veteran like you, I'm newbie on the forum, I'm not musician, not composer. I'm, I would say, "music editor". I try to bild somthing like "sounding fake book" for myself, using hundrets styles from BiaB.

My best, Anat
