I've always dreamed of having one of my songs (actually many of them) done with a real orchestra in particular a lush string section...unless someone wins the lottery , and really loves my music, probably not going to happen...this song is an attempt to fantasize about that...my good friend Irish poet and lyricist Buddy Sutton and I wrote this together...I love big songs and this gets big before it's over with soaring strings (; so if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

Absolutely an outstanding song with an outstanding vocal

Great lyrics

Great use of those orchestra strings

Super arrangement

A very powerful song

Loved it

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Hi Dan ..

What a wonderful song and performance. I agree completely with all Mario said. I truly lover and admire the superior vibrato in your vocal. Some folks, like me, tend to use vibrato in an attempt to somewhat hide our "pitchniness". You, on the other hand, add a full and warm embellishment to an already splendid vocal.

That was an extraordinarily splendid listen - definitely the best 3 o4 minutes of my day so far. Thank you.

Alan

Dan,

This sure an exquisite piece of music! Love all the small touches like the chimes! The strings sound SUPER! What a beautiful message that will surely hit the mark with a searching soul! This reminds me of something that the Lanny Wolfe trio would have done back in the day! They were a bit obscure, and you may not have of heard of them, but they were fantastic group! What a great vocal performance which I feel is probably among your very best presented here! You are singing in a high register, but you are nailing it all the way through! Fabulous production! Don't ever stop!

Thanks, Torrey

Alan...thanks so much for your kind comments...I've been trying my whole life to get rid of the vibrato in my voice...controlling it has always been a challenge...I'm glad you found it appealing instead of appalling...much appreciated...Dan

Torrey...bless your heart...you keep dropping names of people that I so admire as artists, writers and role models in Christian music...Phillips, Craig and Dean, Dallas Holm and now Lanny Wolf (Surely the Presence of the Lord Is In This Place, Cherish That Name, Greater Is He That Is In Me, etc.)...how kind and gracious of you to be reminded of the Lanny Wolf Trio by one of my songs...this is super encouraging to me...I am thrilled that someone as accomplished as you are as a Christian artist would be so kind as to think such things...many thanks...Dan

That's extremely well done. The details.... Loved the timpani rolls. Vocals are classic. Sounds like you are a classically trained singer and musician. The stacatto strings were perfect where you put them. It created a nice undercurrent of movement in the section.
Totally enjoyed it. And it's something that my MIL would absolutely love.

Nice work on this gospel song. I could hear that being done by the Gaithers.

Really wonderful song!

Catches the feeling of those late 80s ballads.

Professionally done, all the way.

Firesong,

I’m with you on the beauty of soaring strings and the emotional lift they can give a tune . . . as they do here. Your vocal is stellar, just beautifully sung (those high notes are in goose bump territory—impressive!). A lovely contemporary gospel song, wonderfully rendered. Just excellent!

All my best to you,

Deej

Well written and a very effective arrangement, including the key change. Great job on the vocals too.
