Hi Nigel ...

Love Big Band siounds! And Swing is my favorite sub-genre. I like this a bunch! I think that bg acoustic piano could be a touch louder without interfering with the vocal, but sounds great as is. You have a super voice for the genre.

This is rteally nice - loved it!

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I have added half a Db to both piano and rhythm guitar tracks and re-posted the song on Soundcloud.

Hi Nigel ...

I'm delighted my suggestion was helpful. Just took a listen to the repost. In my old man's ears, I think it sounds more "robust:". Always love your musuic! Best to you ...

Nigel,

A fun song.

The best use of the BIAB horns I've ever heard. By far.
Excellent vocals and BGVs. Sitting perfectly.
Bass and drums sound great.
Excellent mix.

Well done.

Not my favorite genre, but it's a really cool song and you have the perfect voice for this kind of music.

Tasteful arrangement with a very good choice of instruments. Well done!

This was so good, I thought at first you paid Chris West on airgig to do your horns. Then I went back and read they were RTs. Amazing! I have two horn songs coming up in the near future and neither are this good. Everything done just right on this as usual. A real pleasure to listen to, top shelf work!

Hi Floyd,

Thanks for your comments.

With Chris West's Horns I set the EQ in BIAB at -10 to make them sit down in the mix.

Best Regards
Nigel

You have such a grasp on music and genres that fit your vocals and style like a glove. I agree with others that have noted the amazing sound from the horns. Enjoyed this from start to finish.

Hi Tunemonger,

Yes Chris West's Horns are superb.

I have not used his individual horn tracks yet just his ensembles. As I mentioned to Floyd - I set the EQ in BIAB at -10 for the Horn ensembles because they are a bit toppy and it makes them sit down at the back of the mix.

Good luck with your horn tracks - can't wait to hear them.

Best Regards
Nigel

This is your best to date!

Love that big band blues.

This sounds like a live jam - excellent work on that.

The best use of those horn RTs I have ever heard.

Loved it.

Excellent! Man, I love hearing swing blues with a horn section, and you did a great job arranging them.

And of course, you have the perfect voice for this type of material.

Enjoyed this one, Nigel, well done.
