The first posted human/synth vocals ... Wow!

What a delightful duet this is!
You and Solaria make a great team.

We’re glad you took this down from the shelf. It is quite witty and the African beat sounds so “happy” that you had us both smiling.

And it’s all wrapped up in a fine mix too.

We really enjoyed this most cool production!

Hi Janne,

Well, first of all I'm happy you decided to release this one!

What a fantastic groove, just love the rhythm. Wonderful sounding mix.

But, best of all, I love the lyrics! Really well written, very clever, and very funny!

Very much enjoyed this one. I'm too old to party too BTW wink

Thanks TM for your positive words smile Glad you found great lines and fun in the lyrics. I agree that African rhythms are happy and makes you want to dance, I just wish I could have been able to write a vocal choir in African style also, like Paul Simon did on Homeless.

Misha.

Thanks Misha for your kind and supportive comment smile I agree about non-standard approaches, I admire the way you do it. I hope I can keep on finding new angles on my arrangements, although with BIAB it is quite easy to keep on using the recommended styles.

Definitely a fun song.
The melody you wrote for Solaria is fantastic. I little tidying of the unison vocal timing is my only suggestion.

Cheers

What a cool groove to the song Janne. Love the vocals. Excellent duet. The vocaloid is such a cool piece of technology. Well done..

The definitely shouldn't be on the shelf!

Thanks David for your very kind words smile I'm glad that you loved the contrast, I was bit worried that the voices sound too different or are mixed too differently. Hmmm we sound good together, nice to hear, maybe I'll duet another one with Solaria, although there are new tough competitors for her laugh

Seriously; a very nice tropical song! And I very much like your duet with the AI lady. I just wrote David that I was thinking about trying that one day.
Now you did it!
I had some hope though you would have used a steelband in your song (in the chorusses for instance).
Nevertheless, a very funny entertaining song!

Hans

Thanks Hans for your kind and funny comment smile Well I'm not too old for red wine yet, so I guess that means I can still party without falling asleep in the middle of my strange dancing wink

Steel band is a very good idea, although I'm not sure it would work with an African band. I wonder whether there is a similar African instrument (I guess it was brought to the Caribbean by enslaved African so in that sense it could be logical).

I like that you "experiment" with tracks.
Percussion is cool. (I thought it could have used some more variance along the way).

Enjoyed the listen.

Thanks fj for your kind feedback smile Glad you liked my duet with Solaria. You are right about having more variance, maybe there were not enough interesting variations in the VST, or those I used were left for the demo version of the song and I forgot to work on that more, thanks for the thought.

Janne,

It's a very unusual genre for your song.
Very strange rhythm.
I'm sorry that I'm not familiar with African music.
The duet fits perfectly.
The vocal synth is really nice.
Please also post such a fun song from time to time.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hi Janne ...

As he often does, David said most of what I was thinking. I'll be 76 pretty soon, but still party when I can. Fortunately, I have very few pains and get along pretty good.

Nice sound - lively and fun. Great job!

Alan

Thanks Alan for your kind feedback smile Good to hear that you are still able and willing to party, I wish you long life smile
