Glad to hear you're back in the saddle. A great use of BiaB and I too like Gary Moore's style a lot, I could almost hear his vocals in your song.
Great job. Hi Bass Thumper ... Many thanks! I wish I had even half of hus vocal chops - just enough rasp with solid undertones. And his voice didn't thin in the higher registers. I appreciate the really nice comments. Take care ... Alan

Oh, yeah, Alan, this song has a TON of attitude. Man, I love this style of guitar, and you gave it a wonderful bed to lay down that magic. All Night Tears is a terrific name for this. Hi Marty ... Thank ya! I like this style of Blues, also. The lead melody isn't overly busy, but carries just the right punch to get it from measure to the next with a full sound. Thart was my goal with this one. I think I might have comer close to succeding. Glad you enjoyed the song and the attitude. Best to you ... Alan

Hi Alan,
Didn't know you had serious health problems. I hope you are ok now? Your song definitly is! What a great sounding song you made. Very catchy, especially the solo. You are getting close to Gary now (let's forget for a moment you weren't playing the guitar...)
Enjoyed it all and glad you are back. I missed you and your comments! And best wishes to Di,
Hans Thanks, Hans ... And yes, I'm doing better. I'm glad you liked this one. I've been a Gary Moore fan for a long time. The lead guitar RT was easy to work with. Thanks aghain for the nice words and well wishes! Wishing you the very best ... Alan

Alan, I love loud drums and this is just right. You nailed the GM tone , the eq and the delay + reverb fit perfectly. Great mix. I surely did enjoy it! Feel better, Tom HI Tom ... I agree. I think if the drums are produced correctly, they can set more up front and give many songs a nice edge without being overbearing. As far as achieving the Gary Moore sound, the hardest part was getting the delay right. His delays were short but very conspicuous. They didn't trail very long - one measure didn't appreciably intrude on the next. Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for letting me know. Best to you ... Alan

Hi Alan,
Good song and mix.
No - the lead guitar is the perfect volume in this mix.
Gary Moore would have been +2Db
I was waiting for the powerhouse vocals.
Best Regards Nigel

Best Regards Nigel Hi Nigel ... Thank you very much! Uh ... you wouldn't hang around long if I attempted a powerhouse vocal. You would would think a cement mixer was stripping it's gears! But if I had even a smidgeon of your vocal abilities, I'd never quit singing. Glad you enjoyed it! Alan PS: You staying dry? There's been a lot rain in your part of the world!

Hi Alan,
Sorry to hear you were ill, but happy that you are well and posting music again!
I'm a huge Gary Moore fan, and you captured his feel and tone with this one, nice job!
Drums are perfect BTW, snare is doing exactly what it should IMHO.

Hello Al You wrote a really good song. The guitar solo by BiaB is excellent. Especially because it plays so long. Is sometimes a problem with Biab But in your song it sounds great !!! REALLY great work Al Many greetings Andi ;-)

Alan,
I'm glad that you are feeling better and are back to recording. Great blues rock. Your RealTracks selection is always great. I can definitely see you wondering whether or not to tighten the snare. But I think you were right to make it tight. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

What a great moody blues you’ve given us with your return!
You captured the Gary Moore vibe so well and we love him and were just watching some old YouTube videos of him a few nights ago.
Welcome back!

It's good to have you back!
The drums sit right for me. You made the right choice in returning them to what you had.
This has a strong cinematic feel, and soars and glides along nicely.

Alan, Glad you are on your feet! This is a VERY good tune. So much power. The guitar work is perfect. Loved it! Mix is great, but I do hear some kind of phasing effect on the drums. Might be just me hallucinating. Mood is just right. Amazing effort! Thank you for sharing.
Misha.

For me, drums and bass can make or break a song. Bass has drive and drums have attitude. The tone was most the way PG Music recorded it - did did only a slight amount of tone adjustment. But i did work with the delay for quite some time. I adjusted it pretty wet but short in duration. Thanks so much! Best to you! Alan

Great to hear you back Al. You have a feel for the blues.
Vic Hi Vic ... Thanks for the kind thoughts. I kinda like the Blues because they, more than any other vehicle, can define the struggles of the human soul. Glad you liked it - and tghanks for letting me know. Best to you ... Alan
