I have spent a lot of time trying to get the VSTi plugin to work in FLstudio Last year 2022. It has been unstable despite the updates that were available. until the very end of the year. round about October. It started working fine. Now that I have upgraded to the 2023 Ultrapack. The Vsti plugin is again in a non working mode. By this I mean the plugin loads and plays the song. but there is no output to let you listen. I can drag each track to the DAW. This works great. If I press the Demo button This plays the sample and I can hear it. That is just about it.

Is anyone having the same trouble. I have just uploaded the latest update and this has made no difference. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions available.

Thank you very much in advance.

What you describe sound very familar. There is a fix in the configuration to send output to Audio 1 and 2 instead of all tracks to individual audio outs which if you don't configure the individual outs you just don't hear them. Look closely.

Thank you for this "MusicStudent" really appreciated. However now I can get almost all tracks going. Minus the drums track and usually the 5th track not working. Also notice this problem is never the same as I try different styles. and all songs previously done with earlier versions don't work with this one. another problem not really related!... when you go to the style picker it does not reset back to the top of the page. Any suggestions?......anyone

Thank you for the feedback Robert! Are you using MIDI or Real styles? I saw in another post that you were able to resolve this issue by enabling a feature to "Send MIDI Data to Embedded Synth". Can you provide some examples of the styles that are not working? I did notice an issue with some MIDI styles that the Audio RealCharts are not generating correctly so if you are using MIDI styles this would explain why you are not hearing anything.

I mostly use Realtracks when working with BAIB. Without the "Send MIDI Data to Embedded Synth" It is a hit & miss situation where most tracks will not play, specially the drums track. I thought this may be ASIO issue as stated before. but everything works fine with the "Send MIDI to Embedded Synth."
However there is another issue, where the Vst pluging will stop re-generating tracks, if you are doing this a lot in one session. meaning, I have to restart the program to continue working with it. Could this be a bug?

Can you provide some examples of styles that are not working correctly for you? If you have another bug to report, it would be best to start a new thread with a detailed explanation and steps to reproduce the problem. Thank you!

All styles works perfectly after generation , as long as the "Style Mix" is active. When you mute it and all the individual tracks become active, only the Bass track will be heard. Now this set up has changed since yesterday. As it does not matter what I change in the preferences. I have also gone through all the audio set up to see if anything would change. for example IN FL Studio, the "Primary Sound Driver". then "FL Studio Asio", then ASIO4All, then "Focusrite USB ASIO. All of these shows no change. All styles works perfectly after generation , as long as the "Style Mix" is active. After doing three or four regenerations in a session. this feature will stop regenerating again.

This is the best feature ever in BAND IN A BOX. It used to make my life soooooo!.... easy. how I long to have this feature in it's full working glory again. Life will be AWESOME again. :-)

Ya, that is what I have seen in the past. But you stated it well. Generally, I have given up at that point, so I don't think I have reported this in the past.

Thank you for the detailed explanation Robert! It sounds like your tracks are being routed to separate outputs which is why the style mix or bass track are the only ones heard. They are likely being routed to outputs (St->1-2) which are the only active output channels. Luckily there is a quick fix for this.

1. Go to Preferences->Rendering and disable the option to "Separate Audio Output Channels" if it is not already disabled. Now future generations should automatically route all track outputs to (St->1-2).

2. To avoid having to regenerate, you can also manually change the output channels for each generated track. Click on the light-blue audio channels label to the far right of each track. Change the output channels to Stereo Out->1-2 (St->1-2).

Hope this helps!

I am kinda hoping it does not work, cause I know all about routing and still have seen this behavior. It may be due to the Solo, Mute buttons on the tracks. Once it is muted it is gone and does not come back... then only "the Styple mix" track brings it back... or something like that. Lets see what Robert has to say.

This is perfect...:-)
Thank you very much for that. all is working as it should. I can even use the Solo button on each track as well. this is one problem sorted. Thank you Adar...

MusicStudent, let me know if it works also for you in Reaper. Thanks

Glad you are up and running Robert.

No change here. My outputs have always been set to 1/2 with the preferences for separate outputs disabled. As stated the mix track works fine. But when I mute the mix track only selected individual tracks play and have sound. I am in Reaper.

are all your individual tracks set up as stated above? and are all the tracks active. Also if you press "S" button on each track do you hear only the selected track?

Robert, I hear no MIDI tracks when I solo them. Only RD and Audio.

I have "Send tMidi data to DAW" set at Never
I have "Send Midi Data to Embedded Synth" set to Enabled.

Thanks for asking.

Dan

OK. I had a look at the midi styles. There are definitely issues causing some tracks not playing, sometimes tracks will freeze. Also when you try to load another style, frozen styles from previous will still be heard over new ones. this may be something that could be looked at. I believe I might have to start a new thread with this.

Now you are beginning to understand my 5 year delema with this software. These issues have existed, on and off, since day 1 with this app.

Thanks again for the great feedback Robert! I had also noticed some issues with MIDI tracks during playback. I found that the tracks could be heard when played together but sometimes used incorrect instruments and did not always work with Mute/Solo. I have fixed this and hope to upload a new build of the plugin within the next week or so. It would be great if you could test this again with the next build and report back if you are still having issues. Much appreciated!
